Yes, I'd love to see DOMA ended. But let's be real. The republicans control the house. Therefore, any attempted action or statements on DOMA right now is nothing but posturing. There is no way that this law will get changed congressionally until after the 2012 election, at the soonest. The only way it will get changed between now an then is if it gets overturned by the supreme court, which seems unlikely.

I guess I'm a pragmatist. I'd rather see her work on things that can actually get done. Frankly, I don't give a shit if she mentions DOMA tonight or not. I suppose it might make some people feel better if she makes a public statement that she wants to see DOMA overturned, but nothing will happen on it, regardless of anything she says tonight anyway.
