I bet Seattle would have banned plastic bags just like Bangladesh if we, too, had been found them clogging our storm drains during monsoons that flooded over two-thirds of our land, killing thousands and costing us tens of billions of dollars.
And Italy. And China [most plastic bags]. And South Africa. And Kenya. And Bermuda. And Mexico City. And Maui. And San Francisco. And Oakland. And San Jose. And Edmonds, WA.
Bangladesh will mostly be under water by 2050.
