You know what, I've lived in Seattle for the past 17 years and have lived on the hill for about 6 of those years. I moved off the hill about a month after the massacre that happened on Republican and 19th (?)

And as much fun as Capital Hill is to visit every time I think of moving back it just seems the shit happening up there is getting worse and worse.

this was one block from my condo. i've lived on the hill for 30 plus years, and i gotta say i've never felt like it was a scary neighborhood. incidents like these are more of an anomaly than a regular occurrence. of course, i do have skin thick as a rhino's hide, too.
