Sarah Palin HBO Movie

Comments

1
And forever taint my Julianne Moore? Wait, that doesn't really sounds right.
2
Also, she should be played by Chris Elliot. I would see that.
3
Garrison Keillor
4
Kathy Griffen, duh!
5
Palin should play herself. And the whole thing should be filmed in Spain by Terry Gilliam, over the course of the next six years.
6
It's not that the casting is wrong; it's that making a movie about Sarah Palin is a fucking terrible idea.
7
How can this be X comments in and I'm the first to say Tina Fey?

But this is a terrible idea no matter who plays her.

Fuck, I'd rather see Roger Moore play the role, just to spite that hateful Alaskan nobody.
8
Fnarf would be my first choice.
9
"Not making this movie and giving that gasbag any more face time" would be a lot better choice.
10
Dammit, TominChicago beat me to it. But I'll say it again, because it deserves it: Not making this damn movie and giving that woman anymore screen time would be a lot better choice. Fuck.
11
I don't really think this movie is about Sarah Palin. Game Change was about the 2008 election -- Palin will be one of the characters, but unless they stray really far from the book, she won't dominate the movie. The book has a strong focus on Obama/Hillary, the Edwards affair, etc.
12
Bette Midler.
13
Juliane Moore is wonderful and I love her in everything. If @11 is right then I'm not so disgusted about the movie. I'd hate to see Palin's "actual book" get made into a movie.
14
Donald Glover. Obv.
15
I vote for Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning, no one you see is smarter than she, Flipper, Flipper, lives in a world of wonder, flying there under, under the sea.
16
I'm going with no one, but not in the widely-held, this should not be made, sense.

Clearly, the Palin movie should be done with here completely absent, along the lines of "Garfield minus Garfield".
17
Amy Sedaris.
18
Gillian Anderson.
19
@ Proteus- I love you forever, just for that.
20
Have Industrial Light and Magic digitally reanimate Peter Sellers' Chauncey the Gardener from "Being There."
21
@16 has my vote so far.
22
@17, that would be amazing.
23
Julianne Moore will be great, of course, although her teeth give me pause. Still, it would have been funny to see Ashley Judd play Sarah Palin.
24
Eva Braun in blackface perhaps. I doubt there'd be any casting choice that would make me eager to watch anything that involves Palin, even a fictionalised version.
25
Traci Lords
26
I agree with #6.
Had enough of Palin.
Ignore her and she'll go away.
27
@17 Amy Sedaris as Jerri Blank as Sarah Palin!
28
Dane Cook riding a llama.
29
NO way. Pick a really good actor for the job. Vincent D'Onofrio, reprising his role in MIB 1 would be PERFECT. Or, if Vince is busy, Sheen isn't.
30
I don't know if it's already been said but I raced here to say it anyway.

For the first time ever in my life I just got two boners at once.
31
Sarah Palin should be played by a pug that is constantly tearing apart used tampons.
32
amy sedaris is a fantastic idea.
33
Danny DeVito
34
Mini-me
35
Zaphod Beeblebrox
36
Julianne Moore is a fantastic actress, and I have no doubt she could pull off the role. But why the fuck would I want to watch such a movie? Living through the 2008 election was excruciating enough. I have no desire to relive it through an HBO movie.
37
My vote is for Charlie Sheen to play Sarah Palin.... As a real life idiot, he wouldn't have to act much.
38
Nailed it with Amy Sedaris.
39
This will be amazing if the opening credit theme song is AMERICA, FUCK YEAH.
40
Michael Musto would be awesome!
41
@ 25: I see your Traci Lords and raise you a Ron Jeremy for the role...
42
Julianne Moore, you are dead to me.
43
If Harry Lennix doesn't play Obama me and HBO are gonna have words.
44
If only Divine were still alive......
45
And that dude who played Col. Tigh in the new Battlestar Galactica has to play John McCain. The resemblance is uncanny. And Rebecca DeMornay would make a splendid Hillary Rodham Clinton.
46
Not making this movie would be a better idea. Even if it does make her look awful, I have had enough of this bitch. Unless Obama does in fact need the help getting reelected, that is.
47
@Bub
Hope Davis plays her in "The Special Relationship" and she is uncanny! Dennis Quaid's Bill, though, not so much.
48
@BostonFontSnob: I always thought David Morse, if given the right wig, could look exactly like Bill Clinton. But you're right, Dennis Quaid couldn't pull it off.
49
Axl Rose is looking for work. And he's got the hair.
50
Charlie Sheen as Sarah Palin. 'Cause he's already on a drug called "Charlie Sheen" and it has the magical property of making you an egomaniacal blow-hard.

Hmm, blow-hard...ya' think Palin gives hard blows?
51
I like Julianne Moore....but why do we need a movie about Palin? I am so sick of her, I don't think I could bear to watch a movie about her...unless Stewart, and Colbert co-wrote it. I will skip this movie, thanks...but no thanks!
