As an aside, I'm happy that cans of soda have arrived to the status of vice in at least one Republican's mind.

There are already death panels in this country. They're called insurance companies. Everything that Republicans say about government health care - that it will deny lifesaving care to people - is already being done by insurance companies, and they are much crueler than the government - which must answer to voters in elections - would ever dare to be.
