Agreed, @1.
I'm glad turnout was high for this meeting as well.

All the outpourings of support really give me hope that we will pull back from the brink of shoving Seattle into a fiery pit of destruction thru anti-tax initiatives. I'm glad to hear Bellevue is leaning more towards reason & logic and look forward to ousting JH if she doesn't vote YES on monday! Go to www.stopbuscuts.com if you haven't yet! This game is ON.

I really really want to believe that we will use our collective brains and vote to keep Metro from being gutted.

But I'm getting ready to buy a car in a few months if it fails. *sigh*

Too bad the city hasn't electrified more busses. Because I suspect that the savings in fuel costs (in the US capital of hydropower) would certainly pay for most of the proposed service cutbacks.

On a more immediate note, service cutback in the midst of a deep recession is something that every company in the city ought to be concerned about. Are we really doing everything we can in America to make the recession worse for labor? Isn't there just a little more pain we can heap on?

Please wait...
