After Question Period, Mr. Brison feigned ignorance of the meaning of golden shower.
“I’m a country guy. I don’t know how you interpret these kinds of things, but I’m not that sophisticated in that regard,” he told reporters. “But I certainly wouldn’t want to piss off the minister.”
For the benefit of American readers, it should also be pointed out that Mr. Brison (my Member of Parliament for some years) is openly gay. The "piss off" remark was assuredly deliberate.
Also, I've seen Brison at a gay club dancing with his shirt off in Toronto (and he appeared to be jonesing for a 3way with me and a friend, or certainly was quite entranced by our butts), and Baird has dated friends of mine (guys). They both totally know the meaning of the term.
