You should see what they do with "off-the-shelf" helicopters ...
2
This might be funny if it were some dictatorship/banana republic. Ha ha, the developed world is even more corrupt than the developing.
3
And Scott Brison, the MP that asked the question, is gay, which adds another element to the story.
4
After Question Period, Mr. Brison feigned ignorance of the meaning of golden shower.

“I’m a country guy. I don’t know how you interpret these kinds of things, but I’m not that sophisticated in that regard,” he told reporters. “But I certainly wouldn’t want to piss off the minister.”

:)
5
Is that "country" in the Shakespearian sense?
6
Another part of the story that the article leaves out is that Baird also removed "Lester B. Pearson Building" from his business cards.

Lester B is a former Liberal Prime Minister and a Nobel Peace Prize winner.
7
@2 it's Canada, not the USA. So no worries on that part.

Hint: When the Ultra-rich get richer and the lower 98 percent get poorer, you live in a banana republic.
8
"I wouldn't want to piss off the minister"

There is no way that was not deliberate.
9
Aw, you got my hopes up that a certain other speaker was caught receiving golden showers. (From Larry Craig, perhaps!)
10
@4 & 8:

For the benefit of American readers, it should also be pointed out that Mr. Brison (my Member of Parliament for some years) is openly gay. The "piss off" remark was assuredly deliberate.
11
@10. yes. that's what I'm smiling at.
12
Damn but I miss Question Period ...
13
@11. He's got the sort of wit Dan would appreciate. Here's hoping he takes another run at the leadership.
14
Also, I've seen Brison at a gay club dancing with his shirt off in Toronto (and he appeared to be jonesing for a 3way with me and a friend, or certainly was quite entranced by our butts), and Baird has dated friends of mine (guys). They both totally know the meaning of the term.
15
Brison comes across as the squarest guy around but has a great wit.

Everyone knows the golden shower reference, being gay has nothing to do with it.
16
Yeah, they definitely don't get up to kinky crazy shit in the country. Nope. Especially not during those long, cold, Canadian winters.

Please wait...
