Now there's some great logic: Good Spelling = Legitimate Message

Yeah, that's the ticket .... what's that message again?
2
Goldy is ne'er-do-well wastrel who can barely feed himself, but he can spell most of the time.
3
Oh wait .... spelling is about the only thing they get right, it seems: http://moonbattery.com/peace-sign-protes…

I did see one side that said, "NO MORE SUPER PACKS"
5
Sign. Not side.

@1 -- I'm prolly the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person to spell something wrong, but my reading comprehension is aces, and this post says nothing about legitimacy.

Troll harder! Make it fun!

I'd LOVE to believe that the side that values teachers more is the side that spells their protest signes properly...

...but I'm cynical enough to think that misspelled signs tend to get shared more on the internet and, thus, seen by more people.

What I don't know is if I'm willing to go all tinfoil hat about it and think that there are people telling the Teabaggers to purposefully misspell signs or if its just an unfortunate consequence--that ignorance is too often effective.

I'm a terrible speller. The only thing that saves me on SLOG is my spell checker. If I was there, I'd probably make a misspelled sign.
9
yes Goldy.
you liberals are soooo smart.
in fact, next to your smugness, your spelling is your most endearing trait.

butt why do those ignorant hicks keep shellacking your asses in elections?

I did see a guy with a sign that said something like "Congress needs to pay attention to their constituents, not to corporate lobbiest. I think someone may have corrected the gentleman in question though, because he quickly turned his sign around (there was something a bit more grammatically correct/spelled properly on the other side) and hid it for a large chunk of the protest.

Annnd I left out an end quote. Guess that's what I get for rushing.

If I would have been able to attend, my sign was going to read, "If you believe in trickle down, urine denial".

@4 saw that too

When GW was president, I used to joke that I'll vote for anyone who speaks in complete sentences. For any one person; speaking badly or spelling badly doesn't mean they are less smart than someone who does those things well...BUT I think, on average, people who care enough to spell well are more likely to be thinking things through ( all else being equal ). This thread is about groups with thousands of people in it so, yeah, OWS seems to have more knowledgeable people in it than the Tea Party.

Sadly, that doesn't guarantee being right and may have nothing to do with winning.

Please wait...
