Newt is running for the job of Joe Biden in a Romney administration.

Romney being pretty much Barack Obama in deed.
2
Romney, when he was elected, was to the LEFT of President Obama in practice.

Fwiw.

But he sold his soul so he'll be Hard Hard Right if selected this time.

Gingrich is just the Devil in a suit and tie. Ask any of his former mistresses or ex-wives.

Conservatives are plotting ways to defeat Romney. They can't stand him so they're looking around for somebody they can go with. Gingrich is the only one who isn't a major fuck up.

Paul, if you haven't seen maddow's piece on newt's money-making ventures, you must look it up! It's a classic shredding. I'd find a link, but I'm lazy... I think it was from last Friday or thereabouts.

I'm currently listening to the CD version of Gingrich's "Valley Forge" novel. All the dialog is competently done by voice actor William Dufris (Bob the Builder) except when Martha Washington (who makes an unexpected appearance at George's winter headquarters, sending the General's heart all a-flutter) Suddenly it's the dulcet tones of Callista Gingrich.

I think from this we can see how Newt sees himself... Half John Derek and half Father of His Country. (I'm not making any of this up, by the way)

If Newt can get on the right wing grifter circuit, then more power to him. If he can position himself as the "intellectual's" Palin, great.

Every dollar these grifters extract from their supporters is one less dollar than can be used effectively.

Please wait...
