What a horrible day/night for all their friends and families. My heart goes out to all of you.

What an awful, dismal day, even from a distance (I say that because I was not familiar with the cafe, and did not know any of the victims.) Needless to say, my heart goes out to all who lost a loved one today.

I must admit to a morbid fascination with the downtown slaying. How truly random, and how did the murderer even find his way to that particular place? How did the killer get downtown? Was he on a bus with a bunch of other people? If so, what kept him from shooting up the bus?

It's just so weird, and too too sad.

sadly reminds me of the axe-murderer on Union and 14th and the New Years Eve murder a few years ago. All severe mental cases. This one was able to get guns though. So sad.

Is there any place to contribute for the survivors?

Indeed a terrible day. Nevertheless, congrats to The Stranger for once again providing by far the best, most relevant and timely coverage of any publication, local or national.

@4 totally agree that Stranger coverage is the most valuable out there
