There's no such thing as an "ordinary independent." Independents are an endlessly varied group which includes Democrats In All But Name, Republicans In All But Name, High Information Centrist Independents and Very Low Information Voters who really haven't got a clue what's going on. Bloomberg, if he speaks for anyone, speaks only for HICIs and perhaps some RIABNs. He has nothing on DIABNs and VLIVs.

God, if I hear actual discussion coming from the GOP/Rmoney camp about how we "should run this country like a business", I'm going to vomit.

Let's review: Businesses are in business TO MAKE MONEY.
The government is in operation to START WARS.

Let's not mix the two. shall we?

I hope there isn't *that* much conversation about running our government like a businesses.

They are categorically NOT THE SAME.

One is service delivery system. The other, is to make money.

People saying otherwise, should be made to feel so bad that they suicide.

The last two "businessmen" to be president:
1. George W Bush - Great Recession
2. Herbert Hoover - Great Depression

Bloomberg is rich but wrong. Obama's done everything Capital wants except blow bankers on Bloomberg TV.

How does Obama have a better stance on guns? His inaction in allowing the assault weapons ban to expire is the only real impact he's had on gun control. I don't see any difference between the two of them.

What @1 said. "Ordinary independent," my ass. That's real Josh Feit/Erica C, Barnett shit, Constant, and I expect you to be better than that.

Romney is the opposite of Kerry.

In order to satisfy both the radical left and the moderates of the Democrats Kerry had to be a bipolar gun toting peacenik intellectual pothead shitkicker.

Obama avoided this by having Hillary in there to be his "wingman"...giving the dowdy half of the Dems someone to keep them in the party, while he ran off with the jet set urban elite vote.

Same with Romney who somehow won the election without being the least bit beholden to any of the extremist elements...Santorum, Paul and Gingrich being his wingmen.

@4: You forgot Harry Truman who ran a haberdashery, and George H. W. Bush who ran an oil company.
9
government shouldn't be run like a business, it should be run like a family. You're welcome Obama.

um, it's stupid to practice debate against a loser. you want a good debater to practice against. they should practice debate against rahm emanuel or andrew cuomo.
