So what did McKenna say in response?
2
I'm sure the same could be said for Obama, with the policy in question being America
3
So?......
4
So is Inslee gonna run on his new platform: woulda coulda shoulda
5
McKenna has shown how vigorously he can execute a plan.

That is the job.

Legislator Insee merely sits on his porch spitting chaw into his backy spittoon.
6
McKenna: the Outsourcing goes in before the Reporters are barred from the Public Conference ...

The ad popping up right now is the one showing the Blethen Times "endorsing" McKenna.
In a worst case scenario, McKenna will just join the existing dumbass GOP gov group - the ones saying they won't take fed funds and would rather have low income people die. Luckily we have a Dem majority so no matter what happens, we will still be a bit more insulated than other states like Florida. I'm still not counting Inslee out though. Friends in Spokane have been out doorbelling/calling for him and have found quite a few supporters there, even though the Spokane paper went red.

And worth pointing out that he did so against opinions of the stat he works for, so he's shown that his opinion and walking goose-step behind the GOP bosses matters more than the interest and opinions of the citizens of the state.
There is no room for moderation left in the GOP anymore. From now own it's a vote for the ideology of the far right, and McKenna has proven that to be true here.
9
@2: WTF does that even mean?
10
It's very important to know if McKenna would pull a Perry or Jindal http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/201…

It would really suck if there was a Govenor McKenna and he did this...http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2012/07/01/gov-scott-florida-will-not-implement-insurance-exchanges-or-expand-medicare
12
Has any publication ever been so whiny and butthurt about a man running for governor?
13
@7, you're apparently not aware that the whole state House is up for election this year. There is no guarantee we'll have a Democratic majority come January.
14
Besides which I understand that he is a crappy lawyer. I'm sure that I read that someplace.
15
@13 I am aware. And I'm not worried. Some of the districts where there are 3 or 4 Repubs all battling for the primary are trying their best to outdo each other in right wing extremism, which is turning quite a few of the moderate Republic voters off the GOP - and voting - completely. A recent hiking trip up to the Olympics was very revealing when talking with some people at one of the campgrounds. One crusty old guy said he wasn't going to vote for a Mormon, and he wasn't going to vote for a black guy, and he wasn't going to vote for a Democrat, and he wasn't going to vote for any of the candidates for his district, so he might as well save a stamp and not vote at all. (He would have voted for Ron Paul though..)
16
@9 I think they mean Amercia ...

As state AG, didnt Christine Gregoire's office fail to file an appeal in time, which cost the state 18 million? Boy they kept harping on that one during the election, then once she was elected, most people forgot about it.

Sure McKenna sure does look like a fool for being on the loosing end of a lawsuit. Im sure the Stranger will harp on it, all the way til November, where suddenly and for no reason, this story will fade.

Losing $18 million out of being not good at a task: very bad. If her opponent had been one of those increasingly rare moderate repubs I probably would have voted R that year.

The Obamacare rejection would be what, maybe 100x more? Year after year...and having worked hard to accomplish that loss? Crossed your boss to try to accomplish that loss?

I know basic math seems to get lost in the heat of politics but there is also the whole difference between shooting oneself in the foot accidentally vs researching and buying the best rifle to blow off your own leg.
