Ironically, the proper way to dispose of a flag is to burn it. So much for a flag burning amendment.

I was thinking the box was pretty convenient. You put your flag in the box and the VFW (or whoever it is that has the box) gives your flag a proper disposal.

Certainly better than letting them get gradually shredded by freeway winds as you drive your brutish Escalade around.

The lack of posts points at a lack of controversy. It's nice there's a place where people can properly dispose of our flag.

@ 1, true, but they do it in a patriotic ritual that can only be performed by decorated veterans who have climbed high up the BPOE ladder. Anything else and your commie ass is grass.

@5 it is also done by boy scouts. It's really pretty moving.

I'm curious as to why Grant Brissey is in Port Sanilac. Just vacationing? Lake Huron is, by the way, awesome.
