Over a decade ago, before KEXP had their online playlists I once had to call Riz (during his show) to find out the name of a specific band/track. He was nice enough to work with me to figure out exactly what piece of music I was listening to. (When he plays a bunch of mainly instrumental stuff, sometimes two at the same time, things can get all blurry.) He had a attitude and a helpfulness that I wish more people here had. And finding out that band/track info had a huge impact on me.

This video made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Riz, you're up there with Doc Maynard, Princes Angeline, JP Patches, Ivar Haglund, the Umbrella Man, Charlie Chong and some others in my book now. Feel like I've known that voice since welphood.
