They're going to use the ambiguity to sink Burner, too. And then they'll remind people about her educational background. And then her two prior losses. And her "Obama is a republican" and "the NRA can go to hell" lines.

You can argue about how there are (maybe) all these technicalities exonerating Burner and indicting DelBene but the whisper campaign is out there and you'll need to own the inevitable, which will be sad-but-hilarious.

Will Darcy Burner be able to chair another panel entitled "Winning Smarter" at the 2013 NetRoots Nation if she is a three-time loser?.

Goldy I don't think he said it was misleading because it was on a liberal blog I think he said it was misleading and on a liberal blog, difference there.

He makes a point of saying "liberal blogs" and "lefty blogs" and people will understand that as code even if Josh didn't consciously mean it.

I mean if you're going to always precede blogs with a partisan label, then we should always refer to the "Republican Seattle Times" or the "overcompensating-for-being-liberal Publicola." It's only fair.

Sounds like *someone* has a case of DDS.

DDS = Darcy Derangement Syndrome

Koster will probably mop the floor with whichever Dem victim is chosen anyways. All this petty, desperate infighting makes DelBene and Ruderman look terrible, while Burner has her own issues. What a waste bargaining away the first and the eighth to get the majority minority district which won't be able to represent both the CD and Bellevue particularly well.

It needs to be out there, because God forbid DelBene wins the Dem slot- b/c the seat will basically be handed to Koster. That's when the "real" media (cough cough) will finally cover this story and wipe the floor with her. Darcy's issues are that she cares about the people she'll represent, has already forged working relationships and gained respect with the Progressive Caucus in DC and will stand for women's rights, both reproductive and pay scale- call for real financial reform and consequences for the bankers who have had the lion's share in creating this fiscal mess, and stand up to the bullies in Congress who have held legislation hostage for the past 2 years.

Aside from your crush on Burner, what is the diff? Seriously. Both loser, ex-microsofties. Burner just has a more annoying voice and has lost more.

@10 Burner is a movement progressive who will work to organize and lead the progressive caucus while helping to elected other movement progressives. DelBene is a centrist, pro-business Dem who is good on social issues, but probably not as strong on economic ones.

That said, honestly, enough with the sexist "crush on Burner" crap already. It's offensive to her to suggest that my support for her could only be due to some sort of crush. Way to objectify.
12
@11 the crush stuff is sexist and dumb. Agree. What I have a problem with is your insanely biased reporting in favor of Burner, which is very unprofessional even for an activist reporter. It's like you're turning Slog into your own personal LiveJournal.
