@2 You are assuming that these people had anything that could be called "dignity" to begin with. Given that they come from the kiddie pageant circuit, that is probably not the case.

There's little music on Music Television, the History Channel dedicates a good portion of its programming to things that never happened, and the Learning Channel contains as much learning as a box of juice drink does juice, unless of course your were hoping to learn "how terrible can something be?"
Don't be naïve or dishonest. TLC hasn't been "The Learning Channel" for quite a while. Most of the former "high brow" channels might have the same names but hardly do the same stuff they did. When NBC took over Bravo it went straight into the (reality) toilet. Same deal with TLC. At least when the Nashville Network ceased to be when they called the new network "Spike" it wasn't an allusion that it was something that it's not.
