I am honestly very curious, and slightly terrified, by what will happen with these commenters if/when Obama wins...

2
Hey, they're literate!

@1
Brother, I'm slightly terrified and I hardly even care about the election or these commenters.
4
Quite honestly, I think ALL Americans need to get their information (news) from multiple sources--Progressive AND Conservative. You'll find the world isn't as scary of a place as you thought.
5
Can we also talk about how they first praised Romneycare, and then tried to make it about jobs under the Obama administration--the job in question having been gutted by Romney?

The individual mandate is the child of the Heritage Foundation and was the core of the conservative approach to providing health care to the uninsured. Of course all that changed around 2003 when the Democrats came around and supported it too. At that point it suddenly became toxic and the conservatives wanted nothing to do with it.

Unfortunately that leaves conservatives with no rational proposals to solving the issue of health coverage, other than dreams about an ideal free market with absolutely no government meddling. Sad, really.
7
Yay! I suggested this yesterday. Romney should pay me my standard consulting fee - $20, payable in sweet malt liquor.

This ladies and gentlemen is an example of what you can expect if Romney is elected. With his balls now firmly in the collective maw of the Tea Baggers they will continue to bite down firmly every time the slightest sane, rational and reality based notion slips out of his mouth or the mouth of one of his aids.

Romney, "To fix the economy and lower the debt we are going to have to raise some revenue" Tea baggers *chomp*. Romney "arrrrgggggg, I meant cut taxes cut taxes, oh god please make it stop"

Romney, "Bombing Iran and getting entangled in another war might not be prudent at this time" Tea baggers, *CHOMP* Romney, "GGAAAAAHHHHHH BOMB EM BOMB EM, CUT TAXES, DOUBLE THE DEFENSE BUDGET AND BOMB EM".

Romney, "Wind and solar power have a role to play in a sensible energy policy" Tea baggers *CHOMP CHEW* Romney "For the love of god rape me with a splintered baseball bat, drill me drill me"

I won't be pretty to watch.

It's pretty sad that Romney isn't allowed to talk about his one signature achievement as governor of Massachusetts.
10
Are you suggesting the notion that sick, unemployed people without insurance should simply move to Massachusetts is sane, rational and reality based?
11
This might be the only reason to like obamacare, over a single payer system. Almost feel sorry for Romney with the party flipping hard on him... this time.
12
"Bring on decline. "

This dumb mother fucker hasn't been paying attention to the last three decades.
13
Mmm, schadenfreude...
14
Sometimes schadenfreude is all you have.

It wasn't really Romney's achievement; the Leg did it and he just signed it. But I hope he gets hung with it, and Obama's campaign had better jump on this quickly and often and use it every way they can.
15
@9: By sad you mean hilarious, right?
16
Yes! Yesss! Oh, let me taste your tears, Willard! Mm, your tears are so yummy and sweet! Oh, the tears of unfathomable sadness! My-yummy! Mm-yummy, you guys!
17
@8 -- freshen your makeup and keep smiling. You'll be a lot prettier.
18
@8,

Your comment would be hilarious, if it weren't so true. That's exactly what we can expect if The Bot wins.
19
Nothing says "Republican fail" like the truth.
20
This thread is pretty much why I follow politics. People setting their expectations way to high on a candidate who will totally let them down and then getting mad when he doesn't follow through. Wait...
21
@20) Um... Touche. *cough*

Please wait...
