The show was epic and definitely one of the most magical music experiences in my entire life. However, the sold out in minutes thing was a marketing lie that seemed to only impact people buying online through Ticketmaster (I only know because multiple people in line talked about it).

I bought my tickets directly from Paramount last week. No fees, no gimmicks.
