We need an American Informatics Corps, like the Peace Corps or Americorps.

As a state worker who works for medical records in a hospital, I cringe every time I scan a hard copy of some outside records that say "printed from the servers of Sacred Heart Hospital". Why don't our servers talk to each other? Meanwhile we're backlogged on making sure all surgical dictations are current, but I'm busy re-digitizing data.

Hey, remember earlier this year when Sam Reed was grumbling about how much it cost the state when Jay Inslee resigned to run for govenor full time? How much is this costing the state, Secretary Reed?

Curious, I went to the King County Elections website to check this out.

1) On the front page and on the page with information about registering to vote, there is a purple box to the right that says "My Voter Guide: Find your registration status and view your sample ballot." You enter your name and birthdate and click the button and it tells you your registration status.

This is not a new thing, I've used it in past years to double check my own registration.

2) If you click on the link to register to vote online, it sends you here: https://wei.sos.wa.gov/agency/osos/en/Pa…

I tried it out. Entered my name and birthdate and it pulled up all of my registration information, districts, a list of which elections I've voted in since 2005. In order to register again, I would have to click the link at the bottom of the registration info that says "this is not me"

I'm guessing Mr Fast must have registered again via mail, because I can't imagine he went through all of that and still thought he wasn't registered. But it is simply not true that on the website the only option is to register. (though they SHOULD word it all better so it is clearer that you can check your registration).

If I sent in the first ballot before I received the replacement ballot, should I still send it in?

Why the fuck do they ask for your driver's license number if they're not going TO USE IT????

Ballots to King County students who changed address to campus haven't arrived yet. Anybody else have this problem?

Overseas voters: don't email a pdf of your ballot. Send a paper copy by mail. If you have problems, use the "contact us" link at http://info.kingcounty.gov/elections/Bal…. (They responded immediately to my query about an emailed ballot that wasn't tracked and recommended mailing a paper copy. I was told "Don't worry, we will only count one ballot from you." Hope this is true and am not locked up for double voting. )

Elect Kathleen Drew Secretary of State! Pay attention to those "down ballot" races! Please people, pay attention!

Wayupnorth, right on! This is such classic Republican voter suppression and voter fraud by Sam Reed. This seriously fucking needs to be investigated by PDC and Olympia. So let's get this straight. Sam Reed first confuses and pisses off thousands of legally registered voters by telling them they are registered. Then, as a result, he sends people 2 ballots. Next, he will be discarding these ballots, saying that people are voting are trying to vote twice. Can you say: manufacturing controversy just to rig elections for your Republican buddies Rob McKenna and Kim Wyman?

The sell-out newspapers endorsing Tea Party Republican Kim Wyman are telling us she will be just like Sam Reed. Got that? Just like this crooked lying politician who is in SERIOUS VIOLATION OF CAMPAIGN AND ELECTION ETHICS, at every fucking level.

Everyone needs to fucking vote for Kathleen Drew for Secretary of State like our fucking democracy depends on it. Because this entire state will be so fucking screwed if REPUBLICAN Kim Wyman steals this election.

Please wait...
