As seriously as I take the idea / reality of naked mentally ill men attacking teenaged girls who are enjoying a walk around green lake.... the photos are hilarious in a slapstick sort of way: http://blog.seattlepi.com/seattle911/wp-…

I wonder if any deaths have ever been recorded as a direct result of a meteor strike? Since the temperatures are so low and all the windows have been blown out of so many homes, we may see the first.

That tank at Hanford was for nuclear weapons manufacturing during and after WWII, not part of a power plant.

Wrong link on Handsy Bandit.

@5 Here is the right link to the masturbating bandit:

Sounds like someone is selling bath salts somewhere around Greenlake. If you see one of these naked people running around, steer clear or you might get your face eaten off.

It wasn't just the 48th LD that got the Retire Tom email; I got it over here in Eastern Washington, too.

I live in Rodney Tom's district and sent his office a message: Even if I happened to be completely on-board with what you are doing--which I'm not--how does sponsoring bills that only affect Seattle come under the heading of "representing your constituents?" For whatever reason, we don't live in Seattle, Sen. Tom. What Seattle does inside its borders is of no consequence to Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Medina, or Clyde Hill. Stop sticking your nose where it doesn't belong and actually do what the residents of your district asked you to do: Represent us and the interests we express. You can start by looking at who we wanted for President and for Governor; that should give you an idea. (Oh, as a parting aside: The largest single employer in your district is in favor of the Seattle sick-leave law)

@3 - It is a conflictive topic, but here's one view on it:
