WACDL is a bunch of very fine folks. I may not always like the way Brendan covers his stories, but I always love the stories he covers, if that makes any sense. Congratulations.
Way to go Brendan. I must admit it's often difficult taking in your Slog stories. So much agenda overload candy fluff around here. Will try better in the future.
(Christopher, all your links are local, for Brendan's past work—is there a WACDL press release or something you could link? I looked on their site and could only find the links below.)
these anarchists are just a slightly smellier, less white version of the teabaggers. why are you supporting obama haters? trying to keep it fair and balanced?
I share an office with Mrs. Brendan. I can assure you that, despite his interest in theater, Mr. Brendan is straight. That fact doesn't preclude anal play with awards or other toys, of course, but there wouldn't be anything gay about it.
As a member and former vice-president of WACDL, I could not be more pleased with the organization's decision. Congratulations, Brendan! And thank you for your work.
Personally, I did like Brendan's coverage, I did think the Grand Jury Refusers should have been jailed to compel testimony, I did think the solitary confinement imposed on some of them was unconscionably cruel, I did think that Leah Lynn Plante was unconscionably vilified by her left-wing former-friends after her release, I did think that releasing the other refusers was right, and I do think that that release was accomplished entirely in accordance with rather than in spite of our justice system.
Have you got any italics you'd like to add onto that?
Congratulations, Brendan!
