Dolly has always owned that song. Whitney could over do it to the point of being comical.

2
If the blue house on Capitol Hill is still standing and being occupied, why not Castro's? Economics will probably have the biggest impact on that decision.
3
Regarding the home intruder that was stabbed to death, can somebody explain why a warrant is needed before the body can be removed?! That seems crazy to me.
4
That's OK, Cato — Dolly cleaned up on the royalties from Whitney's cover.

Do I want to click on the LL Cool J link? Will my heart sink further if I do?

Bangladesh's government agreed on Monday to allow the country's 4 million garment workers to form trade unions without prior permission from factory owners...
What a concept.
7
Whitney Houston is also responsible for every young idiot's wedding in the '90s featuring a farewell song because she stripped it of its emotional impact and replaced it with a face full of Whitney.
8
um, IRS targeting groups based on their political stance is fucking horrible. try not to be all hipster, alla time, okay? "feeding a persecution complex" is not a warranted jibe where in this case, um, they were persecuted. and we should all condemn.

9
No dispute that the targeting of Tea Party groups should be investigated. But seriously, were was the outrage from these people when the FBI was infiltrating left-wing groups and starting dossiers on people who supported non-violent liberal causes?

@7, that song and the one by Bryan Adams from Robin Hood... *god I fucking hated going to weddings from about 1993 until 2000*

@6 - Shit hitting the fan:

Hundreds of factories which form the hub of Bangladesh's garment industry are to close indefinitely after worker unrest sparked by the death of more than 1,100 colleagues, employees announced Monday.

...

Shahidullah Azim, of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, said the decision to shut down all the factories at Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka, was made "to ensure the security of our factories".

Local police chief Badrul Alam told AFP that workers in 80 percent of the factories had walked out earlier in the day to demand an increase in salaries as well as the execution of the owner of the collapsed Rana Plaza complex in the town of Savar.

Castro bought that house for 12K, before the market went to shit and the neighborhood was dotted with foreclosures.

How much could it be worth now? Fucking tear it out to the footings and plant a grove of flowering trees.
13
The Castor house is still a crime scene, Matt in Denver, and will remain so for several weeks at least. Then do what @12 says.

The IRS targeting groups with excessive scrutiny (in comparison to others) because of ideology should send shivers up spine of every American, no matter what their ideology.

What is our nation turning in to?
15
The City of Cleveland has erected a 10 foot fence around the Castro house to protect it from arson and vandalism until after the trail. Once the trial is over the house will be torn down.

@15: We appreciate your Johnny-on-the-spot coverage of all things framed.

Please wait...
