Thank you for continuing to give this story the coverage it deserves. This is another bright spot, but it's still an injustice that Greenberg is being punished for doing his job.

That's a lot of white people congratulating themselves.

"white people, havin' fun..."

@2 Sure is. Fancy aren't they.

I agree with them too. Shit.
6
Looks like a lot of white privilege in the room.

I have to chime in again. Like it's said "A picture is worth a thousand words"

Ask the family who wanted the word "race" to be omitted from the whole curriculum, while demanding that race not be a topic discussed at all. It may not be the most diversified high school, but that's exactly why this curriculum is important. And Greenberg's getting transferred for standing up for the idea that those white people in that room should learn recognize their privilege and work to rectify the injustice of that.

If being able to get a teacher fired for bucking your personal feelings about race and racism isn't white privilege, I don't know what is.

Anna... Zak Meyer gave a great speech at his graduation ceremony. You should ask him about it and maybe print a copy. I don't think it was the "pre-approved" speech and he let the school district have it.

"white privilege" - perfectly put in this case.

What has been the role of the school principal in all of this?
