1
Your attempt at the Time/Reagan joke bombed though. Did you regret trying to wedge that in?
2
Wow. Mr. Fancy Pants wearing a shirt with a collar.
3
First thing I noticed was the NON-T-SHIRT. The world has shifted on its access! And folks actually tweeted you, asking the brand?

I am too much of a fan. I shouldn't know these things.
4
Glad you finally retired that burgandy shirt.
5
Axis.

Dan, was the editing giving this the appearance that you were making the other uncomfortable, or did that actually happen? Some shots they looked ok others they looked uncomfortable, an easy editing trick. Also did you get the feeling that the crowd was laughing too hard? Like is that the first time they heard the word dick?
6
@1, you thought that joke bombed? My husband laughed himself to tears over that one.
7
Great appearance, Dan. You livened up the show considerably. But how could you stand being that close to Grover Norquist without reaching over and slapping the holy shit out of him? He's a total turd.
8
"My husband." "Living with integrity" "My son and his two fathers"

Truth has no meaning for you whatever, has it you perverted man ruining a boys life with your deviance and perversion.

Go away you sick little man.
9
@8 - Do as you will be done by, oh ye of little compassion and comprehension.
10
Still, I did get a great laugh out of the notion of a thing like Dan Savage living wirlth integrity, so thanks for that great joke anyway.
11
@8: go away, you snarling little homonculus, to your mythical house in Italy.
12
we are so glad homoliberals no longer have to pay those crushing taxes.....
13
@9

I have pity and compassion for the poor kid being raised by a pervert and his deviant boyfriend. I have compassion even for a thing like Savage if he finds the truth and begins to work as much for family and morality and healthy sexuality as his fanatic attempts to destroy them.

But compassion for a sick twisted thing like that reveling in his own sickness? Nah.
14
8: "Go away you sick little man."

On Slog, from you, ironic like a motherfucker.
15
@8:

Poor little Seattleblues, is certainly obsessed with best selling author Dan Savage and his family isn't he? Don't worry SB, Dan and his legal family aren't going away any time soon, in fact Dan's side will keep winning and you'll keep losing.
16
the collar is a nice touch but that isn't a good colour for you, Danny.

get Carole Jackson's 'Color for Men'

we realize it will break your heart not to be able to wear that shade of hot pink but it makes you look like a redfaced drunk.

of course, that may be the tan-in-a-bottle...
17
@8

A person who has sex with their mother may be almost as deviant as Savage. But a "mother fucker" being ironic? I confess to not getting that allusion, presumably the fruit of your classical education.
18
STRANGER: Can you just ban Seattleblues and other commenters like him? Are you proud of hosting and publishing hate speech? You'd rather spend your lives making a safe place for bigots rather than a safe place for LGBTQ people, women, racial minorities, and their children?
20
@ Merchant Seasick

A duly deliberated verdict in a Sanford courtroom is a travesty of justice. But a sick pervert ruining the life of a helpless child with the aid of his equally deviant boyfriend is a family?

Okay then. Remember how your doctor said those pills would help? I think his first guess at involuntarily confinement to Western State Mental Hospital was nearer the mark...
21
I absolutely love the fact that in all this discussion on "da gay", Dan can insert (bad pun I know) humor into the conversation. Because that shit was made me laugh and I just love how disarming humor is. We don't have to be afraid of "gay".
22
@19

Wow, the early forties are now elder years. Bad news for my siblings and most of my friends. If it were true.
23
18, I don't agree with Seattleblues, but he is merely typing words on an internet blog. We are all grown ups here. I don't need someone to protect me from words. Besides it's endless fun to watch his arguments get shot down and debunked.

24
@18 Why not just let SB have his tantrum? His is the true voice of the anti-gay movement. "I hate gay people cause they're gross."
25
I thought Bill's 'don't make our guests throw-up' comment was downright insulting. Can you imagine him making such a comment about someone mentioning their love life with their wife or hetero husband? You handled it well, but that was incredibly rude. Plus, has he seen Terry lately? Just. Wow.
26
Seattleblues, how does it feel to keep losing. People like you are dying off. Same sex marriage is gaining support by leaps and bounds. It's happening, and your kind can't stop it.
27
@19

For what it's worth, the popularity in certain circles of a thing like Savage is a symptom of a deep ill in our society. If such a pervert wants to keep his sickness between himself and a competent mental health professional I could care less about him. If he wants to spread his filthiness, evangelize it, he's a legitimate target of derision.
28
@25 I don't think that was an insult directed at Dan, more a dig at the fact that Norquist was visibly squicked at the thought of gay sex.
30
23: That's a nice privilege to have, but lots of people have very unpleasant or traumatic histories with people like Seattleblues and other bigots, and just want to read progressive, LGBTQ-positive, woman-positive, race-positive news without getting triggered and having their day ruined.
31
@6: Ok, it didn't "bomb", but he didn't successfully wedge the joke in there so it kinda fell flat.
32
"For what it's worth, the popularity in certain circles of a thing like Seattleblues is a symptom of a deep ill in our society. If such a bigot wants to keep his sickness between himself and a competent mental health professional I could care less about him. If he wants to spread his filthiness, evangelize it, he's a legitimate target of derision."

FTFY
33
@24

Your paranoia notwithstanding, there is no anti gay movement.

There are decent people resisting the attempts of a tiny minority of citizens trying to set social and legal terms for everyone else, but that's hardly the same thing.
34
@30

Um, welcome to comment sections on the internet?
35
Why is anyone responding to Seattleblues? He's trying so hard to get a rise that he's fallen back on the last and least defensible form of homophobia: "gay people are icky." Why are you guys responding to this juvenile sad sack? Let him wallow.

At least you guys provoking him into response provides a good deal of schadenfreude for me.
36
30, If an internet blog is going to traumatize you, and ruin your day, you probably shouldn't be on internet blogs. Others should have to censor their words to suit you.
37
Seattleblues, seriously God doesn't care that you enjoyed those dicks you sucked at church camp in your teens. Get over it already.
38
Dang, I don't have HBO so can't see the whole interview. Link anyone?
39
Oh hey, hi Seattleblues! Remember how I told you that trick where you click on your name and it links to that page containing your entire posting history? But just yours, and nobody else's? So you could show your work here to your Pastor so he knows what a good and loving Christian you are without exposing him to the rest of us? Since that was all that was holding you back?

So when ya gonna do that?
40
@18 - Trolls thrive where they are fed ... and they're always well fed here on The Slog.
41
@33: "There are decent people resisting the attempts of a tiny minority of citizens trying to set social and legal terms for everyone else, but that's hardly the same thing."
Yes. We call them straight allies to the LGBT community, fighting valiantly to keep the evangelical fringe from shoving their morals down everyone else's throats!
Ooh, that's not what you meant, is it? Go ahead and get sooper dooper buttmad!
42
34: Almost all large, progressive blogs moderate their comments for hate speech & personal attacks now. Even Reddit and Youtube have user moderation. Welcome to Internet comments in 2013...
43
@33 "I'm not anti-gay, I just think gays are perverted, filthy, and don't deserve the same rights I have."

Yup, not anti-gay at all.
44
Will you please stop using made up words. There may be a yet to be recognized phobia of homosexuals. Maybe someone worried about death by a set designer or hair stylist or afraid of being lisped to death. As yet, no such disorder exists. Please also look up 'bigot'. I suspect you'll find it doesn't actually mean "You're MEAN and I don't like what you say

Please make a note of it
45
Stop feeding the troll, you idiots.
46
@44 As you wish...

"big·ot [big-uht] noun
a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion."

Oh, you're right! That's absolutely what you aren't! /sarcasm
47
@45

Oh, but it's so much fun!
48
@43

That Savage suffers from the mental illness whose primary symptom is sexual desire for others of the same sex is sad for him. But that isn't the reason he's a deviant and a pervert.

That would be his promiscuity and attempts to normalize it. It would be his forcing a young boy to grow up in a home with two men who should never in a rational universe have been entrusted with a child. It would be his attempts to spread profoundly unhealthy sexual practices on radio programs, college campuses and television. Were he straight and behaving this way I'd feel the same repugnance for him.
49
@ 42, Slog runs on its own, not always consistent prerogatives. SB has been as vicious as the banned trolls, getting away with things others have not (at least in my judgment). Perhaps his comments seem to suit an unexplained purpose - probably what Rob and others say. Or perhaps they simply judge him differently than people like the period troll.

Anyway, I'm in favor of keeping him around, because unlike the pure troll, who only wants to enrage and inflame, SB possesses a comically inflated sense of intellect, and seems to believe that he is capable of stating winning arguments (which he won't allow to be burdened by things like "facts" over "evidence") and of occupying the moral high ground, while not seeing how comments like those @8 expose how untrue that is. Such errors of moral judgment happen when you believe things like not swearing have any moral import whatsoever.

Anyway, raku, you should be aware that one of the qualities that make liberalism/progressivism superior to reactionary conservatism like SB's is the fact that we walk the walk on things like free speech. Let SB have his say, and the rest of us will feed him his words.
50
@ 44/48, there is also no recognition of homosexuality as a mental condition, as you repeatedly state. If you're going to use that argument, you better live by it, too.
51
Also, it's fun to watch Seattleblues get more and more desperate and hysterical as gay marriage becomes a reality. He's losing, and he's not handling it very well.
52
Now, now everyone. Poor Dear Seattleblahs may be a pill, but we're the only family he has. I had high hopes for his mother, but after she got released she went right back on the horse. Last I heard, she was doing donkey shows down in Tijuanna.

As for his father, that's anyone's guess. Just about any guy who passed through the Greyhound station could be the culprit, as long as he had a buck fifty or some Fiddle-Faddle.

I'm just glad he was able to sign up for that program that lets people like him have some Internet time. I hate to think of him spending all his time in that basement all alone. It's just not healthy.
53
I know nobody cares but me...

But I typed "access" for "axis"????

DO NOT GET OLD.

I can remember being smart....
54
@ 52, the idea of anyone whoring for Fiddle Faddle is killing me over here...
55
@17: Did you mean my post @13? I forgot about your brand-new, whisper-quiet and sanitized eloquence. Salty language, if not deliberate obtuseness, is beneath you. Fair enough. "Competent mental health professionals" greenlit the gays decades ago. So did the Supreme Court, quite recently. You sound regressive (not conservative- actively backward thinking) and far too personally invested in hatred of the queer community. Even if you don't have internal "struggles" fueling your bigotry, it is a sad and deeply limited existence that requires something to hate in order to give itself definition. I hope that was my diction was classical (or just plain classy) enough for your newly discovered delicate sensibilities. Lord knows, you've worn out the fag and dyke approach.
56
49: "Free speech" means a blog can pick and choose what it published. They already moderate some comments. If I post a link to my hypothetical shop where I sell queer pride flags, I'll get deleted or banned. If I'm unregistered, I can't comment on breaking news stories. The Stranger chooses not to allow those comments, but they choose to allow hate speech. Probably because the privileged white dudes in charge have little empathy for how damaging those comments are.

And again, most progressive blogs and forums moderate against comments like Seattleblues. It's not "progressive" or even "libertarian" to allow them, it's just lazy or intentionally oppressive.
57
@ 56, " 'Free speech' means a blog can pick and choose what it published."

Free speech can mean that, but it better means letting people have their say.

"If I post a link to my hypothetical shop where I sell queer pride flags, I'll get deleted or banned. If I'm unregistered, I can't comment on breaking news stories. The Stranger chooses not to allow those comments, but they choose to allow hate speech."

All true, except when they have banned hate speech that's much worse than this. There are degrees. (In my experience with you, you seem to have trouble comprehending or accepting gray areas, so you may not see how SB's remarks here aren't as bad as others.)

"Probably because the privileged white dudes in charge have little empathy for how damaging those comments are."

Privileged white GAY dudes. Their gayness outweighs the privilege white male component by a factor of 10:1 in this situation.

"And again, most progressive blogs and forums moderate against comments like Seattleblues. It's not "progressive" or even "libertarian" to allow them, it's just lazy or intentionally oppressive."

This isn't "most progressive blogs and forums," this is SLOG. And I don't think much of blogs that police comments in that fashion. They have more in common with Redstate than my idea of what's progressive.

Oppression isn't the state of hearing what you don't like to hear, or reading what you don't like to read. Don't cheapen the word's meaning, when billions of people can't even complain about what they don't like, as you can.
58
I'm just going repost this from yesterday as it's more relevant here than the column:

Dan:

Just saw your Real Time episode. The look on Grover Norquist's and Connie Mack's faces after the 'inseminating my husband with crossed fingers' joke was worth an entire year's HBO subscription. Seriously.
59
56, You give way too power to some faceless person on the internet. No one, not even Seattleblues, should be forced to tailor their words, and expressions of their ideas to suit you. Although their numbers are quickly dwindling, there are people who are still against gay marriage. People see Seattleblues' and Westburo's bile and hate and reject their message. Note, despite their best effort, Washington State got gay marriage by popular vote. Folks like that are really an asset to gay rights. Seattleblues is losing, and his increasingly unhinged reactions to repeated loses have become quite entertaining.
60
@49: I find your comment to be hate speech, and it triggered me. "privileged white dudes"?! I am a white man and I was born into an upper middle class family and I feel ashamed of the fact that everything was handed to me growing up. I don't even feel like the oppression of being gay is enough to balance out how privileged I am through no fault of my own. Your comment was very hurtful and doesn't recognize my humanity. I agree with your argument, but I feel like you must also be banned from commenting on the blog.

See how that works... thought police?
61
Aww shit I meant at 56!!!
62
Stop picking on Seattleblues! He has removed the scales from my eyes! He has knocked me off my donkey on the road to Damascus!

I now understand that my erstwhile homosexuality was a sick, perverted, evil choice. I have told my roommate (whom I formerly referred to as my 'husband'--bleh) that he is expunged from my heart. I now desire to marry a woman and live a normal life in a biblically sanctified marriage.

Tell me, Seatttleblues--are there any available women in your clan? A sister, perhaps, or a sister-in-law? That way, I can not only leave my erroneous ways behind, but I can be assured of sharing a Thanksgiving table with you and your kind, so that my lessons are continually and healthfully reinforced. And just think of the gratification you would have from having an object lesson living in your midst to help support your impeccable (and oft-ignored) arguments against beknighted SLOGGers.

Have you a sister or a sister-in-law, Seattleblues?
I pray the answer is yes!
63
raku, honey, seattleblues doesn't exist. he's make believe. a fictional character. so don't let him/she/it get to you, okay? laugh at him, mock him, ridicule him, like the rest of us sloggers.
64
60- OMG! How can Slog moderators ever discern between someone saying gay fathers are perverts ruining their children's lives, and calling rich white people privileged?

It is a slippery slope, which is why Starbucks cannot kick out the crazy guy who yells slurs at everyone who walks in the front door. Because slope!!
65
Dan, you almost made me want to get my uterus back so I could have your baby because of this.
66
64, Maybe you should start your own blog, and only let people who think like you on it. That way, you'll never be traumatized by people who have differing opinions.

67
@ 64, may I point out the irony of pointing out one absurd comparison in your first paragraph, while then giving one in your second? (Hint: yelling in a business ≠ posting on the internet.)

Anyway, my hat is off to you. Off-topic commenting on Slog is a time-honored tradition, but it takes true grit to derail the diaries completely, and you do it over and over and over again.
68
66/67: If only there was a way to get rid of offensive or off-topic commenters. :-(

PS- ANYONE WHO ISN'T VEGAN IS A WHITE DEVIL
69
68, Maybe if you ate a burger once in a while, you wouldn't be so traumatized by the words of others? The lack of complete proteins in your diet seems to made you very thin skinned.
70
Remember, it's the blue eyes that really are the mark of evil. Yeah, I got em. Baby blues like Sinatra's.
71
Saw the show as it aired live, Dan rocked it. No editing tricks, Real Time always utilizes several camera angles for panel's reactions. Dan was clear, calm and eloquent. Stifled Norquist and Connie. He should be a more frequent Real Time guest.
72
Mr Savage looks a little too steroidy to be able to inseminate anyone.

The shirt looks a lot like one of the ones Sr Nadal wore the year his parents divorced and he endured his only loss ever at the French Open.
73

Holy crap, 67 comments and 95% of them *weren't* about Dan's great Maher appearance!? People!

Dan! Missed ya on Maher these last few years so was glad to see you back! As someone said, hands down, the look on Grover-boy's face was worth the price of an entire year of HBO!

Also ... kickarse shirt!

74
@68: I'll have you know I am not vegan, I might be a devil, but I am certainly not white. Now, weren't we watching Seattleblues' 1567th culture seizure? What happened?
75
@68 I am Native American and I grew up hearing the stories of what the white devils did to my parents and grandparents and ancestors and now hearing that term is incredibly triggering. As a vegan, it is oppression for me to have to listen to you call me a white devil given all the pain the white devil has inflicted on my people. You should consider your privilege and the potential triggers others may have when making such comments.

Also using a slur coined by Native Americans is cultural appropriation. Check your privilege!!
76
@56: Whoa, whoa, whoa there Raku. "Privileged white dudes?"
Dan Savage is the Editorial Director of the Stranger and the person under attack here. You don't get to tell him how to deal with it.
The Slog has it's own little way of moderating, and rough and tumble though it may be, I think they do a pretty good job. The batshit are left unmolested, as are the sad and weird. You can't start banning people for being assholes. If we did that it would be just you and Phoebe in Wallingford sitting around exchanging recipes left. The really vile and ugly voices get the boot, over and over until they get tired or start to behave.
Seattleblues is a pompous ass of limited intelligence, and as such makes an excellent cat toy for the Sloggers. He's an idiot and his opinion can't hurt you, so why not have a little fun Raku and see if you can rile him up?
77
76: Seattleblues wasn't attacking just Dan, he was attacking an oppressed class of people, most of whom aren't millionaire celebrities who instigate people. Dan's business is hosting and publishing that anonymous hate speech, so it's on him and Tim Keck and his staff to fix it or own it. It's not just (or even mostly) against gay parents - Slog is full of hate and slurs against women, black people, trans* people, natives, etc.

And, "you can't start banning people for being assholes"? Check jezebel, gawker, any other site similar in concept to Slog. They ban or moderate bigots and assholes, and they're doing just fine. Maybe one reason why the best writer to ever come out of Slog (Lindy West) feels more comfortable there...
78
Dan, your shirt is not really pink. It's more like T-Mobile magenta.
79
If these comments are hurting your feelings, then STOP FUCKING READING THEM AND OBSESSING OVER THEM. If we banned all the idiots from the internet, there wouldn't be much internet left for the rest of us to read.

Also, great job, Dan.
80
Why do people continue to feed seattleblues? He's not even a good troll. His posts are like, 2/10 at best.
81
Raku, your heart is in the right place, but your foot keeps going right in your mouth.

"It's not just (or even mostly) against gay parents - Slog is full of hate and slurs against women, black people, trans* people, natives, etc."

I encompass several of these categories and when the slurs happen, I just have fun taking down the assholes behind them. I don't let them rile me to the point I act like a stereotypical PC-obsessed light-sensitive liberal calling foul and asking someone to make the meanies go away. Because that's them winning.
82
ɥsɐןɯouǝʌ @41 HOW THE FUCK did you get your username to appear upside-down?!?!
83
@77: Raku perhaps you've noticed me fighting the good fight here in defense of women, trans persons, gays, people of color and Lindy West. So we're clear.
The Gawkerverse has plenty of hate spitting jack holes on its many sites. It is not all sun shine and Kumbya over there by any stretch either. And Lindy didn't leave the Stranger because her skin was too thin for Slog. Considering the shit she's gotten since joining Jezebel? I mean get real Raku. That is a ridiculous assertion.

You find it too rough here, and I agree we do need to, as posters take a breath and not dial it up to ELEVENTYONE!!!! every time we disagree, but I don't want to post in an echo chamber either.
And I don't think you're going get any traction with the level of moderation you want. Not here.
84
A much greater "symptom of deep ill in our society" is a dude who sadly and obsessively trolls an internet forum with wild farcical lies of owning a house in Italy and continues to do so even after he was 100% busted. I can only conclude such a person gains some bizarre addictive sexual gratification from this behavior.

A much lesser symptom of "societal ill" might be those that obsessively indulge this sort of kook in his silly nonsense.
85
Hey Raku, I understand where you are coming from. However, I have to agree that bringing the same comment to slog post after slog post just isn't working.

I think it is clear what the Slog is -- and it isn't what you want it to be. It just isn't.

So what do you do now?

Maybe try another tactic? Anything?

For the record, I would dearly love Seattleblues to go away forever. Second choice would be to have Sloggers stop feeding the troll. However, neither of those things are something I can make happen.

So I gird my loins and wade in, knowing what I'll find. There are enough kindred spirits here to give me deep pleasure.

And when it gets to be too much, I skim or just stop reading. Because that is indeed something I can control.
86
83: I'm not trying to attack you or saying anyone here doesn't care (except SeattleBlues and StrangerCorp).

I don't care about me getting attacked, either. I don't mind it & kinda like it, as Matt from Denver and other Slog pals can tell you.

I do care that this is the only prolific, interesting progressive news source and it seems tailored to gatekeep so only the butchest and meanest feel welcome.

There's a very good reason why Slog now has a 3:1 man:woman ratio. Same reason my woman and queer friends tell me they all "used to read Slog". It's sad and unjust that we can't get progressive news in Seattle without a side of hate speech.

Also- "the level of moderation" I'm asking for isnt much. Either a +/- button that comes standard on all websites these days (even free speech fundietown Reddit!), or Slog workers to delete/ban people who say blatantly bigoted things. Like, right now tea party rallies are more safe from hate speech than Slog.
87

Raku, I hear you on the "privilege" thing, but I'm afraid the word has begun to have negative connotations for people due to it's near exclusive use by snot-nosed, know it all college kids. I'm white, straight, slim, able-bodied, middle class, am American-born, a property owner, and live in a progressive area of the country. I have a job (right now) and health insurance (lousy health insurance - right now - this time last year, I didn't). I benefit from the automatic privileges those things grant me, yet I'm also female, middle aged, and without a college degree - three things that reduce my value (and power) in the world's eyes (and in reality) considerably.

Like you, I've felt my frustrations and rage at the dominant power structure, in my case, particularly when it comes to women's issues, abortion, etc. (If I had dime for the number of guys I've encountered in my life and online - who otherwise call themselves liberal and/or progressive - who fall all over themselves to condemn racism, while at the same time scoffing at the notion that sexism even exists ...) So yes, in some cases it's justified, but I'm afraid hurling the "privileged !!" "insult" left and right pretty much only serves to shut people down. Because. So often the hurler is privileged in some (usually major) way to the point where they don't even see it - for example, being young, able bodied, and college educated. Most of us don't go around thinking, well what about the folks in wheelchairs? What about the bipolar folks? What about people with facial deformities? What oppressions do they face every day? Because it's not - for the vast majority - our immediate experience. Nor, I'm guessing, is it yours. You therefore experience a privilege, or several - every day - that you undoubtedly take for granted. That's my take on the deal, anyway.

88
@72 I've seen Dan Savage at the gym many times. He puts in the work for those muscles.
90
@86: I like the+/- idea I have to say.
91
I agree with Beth (25) about Maher's 'don't make our guests throw up' comment. It rubbed me the wrong way, too. And, by the way, great job, Dan!
92
@56: "And again, most progressive blogs and forums moderate against comments like Seattleblues. It's not "progressive" or even "libertarian" to allow them, it's just lazy or intentionally oppressive"

I really wish they would moderate out more of those hatemongers.
93
88 is right. It doesn't take steroids to achieve those muscles. Anyone can get them with just consistency and dedication in working out, and diet.
94
Wow what a long thread, I'll give Seattleblues credit for sending it spiralling. Still makes one wonder how many dicks he took up the ass at church camp.
95
I actually think Grover found the comment incredibly funny and was trying not to laugh so as to not have to answer a lot of awkward questions at Fox News and whatnot. Seattleblues, you lost, pal. Homosexuality is no longer in the DSM, you're not being oppressed or forced to have buttsex. Get the fuck over yourself.
96
@94

Stewardesses are rarely attractive, and never as pleasant as movies show them. Nurses the same. Point is, fantasy and reality have little in common.

Having been to many church camps as a kid and having fond memories of them I can tell you that your sick weird fantasies about them have no basis in reality. Sorry to disappoint.
97
@96: Aww now you're make unflattering generalizations about nurses and flight attendants. Is there no death to which you will not sink!?

PS: Have you shown your Pastor your posts yet?
98
Oops! "Making" unflattering generalizations.
99
Can I just say how very much I hate auto correct ?

Sigh. "Depth"
100
@96 - I take it you're either a nurse or a "stewardess" then. You should really stop projecting your insecurities onto others.

Personal anecdote: One of the hottest guys ive ever seen was a nurse I had back when I was a baby gay. - He was sizzling. Friendly and totally professional too, which just made him hotter.
101
Pst... Everybody: I think there's actually two trolls here, and only one of them eats meat.

And raku: Slog is not a news source! If this is what you rely on then you need to broaden your information horizon.

You're way more effective than Seattleblues, though, who is very tired and boring.
102
Also, I don't want Slog to be a safe space, but be nice to have ways to distinguish between new accounts and old timers, as well as blocking those who block their comment history.
103
"Bill agg raise on that."

What?

"Phil ad raison hat."
