Paul - It is amazing to me that Neal doesn't hear from fans in Seattle. I know of so many people who've loved him since Snowcrash and Cryptonomicon. And Reamde was excellent, ranging escapist fun.

Thanks for promoting the writers. We are blessed with an abundance. Must be the rain.

DawginExile @4: Oh, he hears from fans in Seattle, but when I'm talking up all the great authors who come from Seattle, people are most likely to say, "I didn't know he's from Seattle" when I mention Stephenson's name.

Hey Paul and all of the Stranger staff - thank you so very much for hosting that fabulous event last night! What a great evening to see some of the breadth and depth of Seattle's lit scene. Lost me at Neal Stephenson. Most overrated author in the history of science fiction. And I do wish Paul Constant would stop writing about science fiction. He has dreadful taste and no background whatsoever.
