I really wonder how accurate those polls are.

Looking forward to reading The Stranger bitch moan and grip about Murray for the next 4 years, all because he's not a far left socialist. And when I say socialist, I really mean it, you want someone so far to the left that they poop carbon credits in the morning.

@2 going just by politics on the macros scale, seeing as the Seattle Times most days skews center-right, and the Stranger overall skews far left, this is a bad thing how? The city overall skews center-left to outright progressive depending on neighborhood, while the state overall skews center-left, so the push and pull is essential to get an accurate real representation in our political structure. That's how things work.

@3: Thanks for the shout-out. I do doubt Murray will win by 20 points, but it's pretty clear that McGinn is in big, big trouble.

The mayor's only hope is that voters will actually watch the debates over the next couple of weeks, and realize that Ed Murray is totally unqualified to be their mayor.

If Murray does manage to unseat him, I hope McGinn stays a vocal presence, doing press releases and whatnot criticizing the new mayor whenever he makes a questionable move. I'd like that, it would help Murray be sharper, and keep Mike in the public eye laying groundwork for a comeback campaign against Murray next term.

If Sawant doesn't unseat Conlin she could do the same regarding the council. If she and McGinn teamed up they could give us so much Slog fodder the next four years!

I don't know any older voters who like Murray. But then I only know older voters with working brains.
