I'm making these for the first time. I mixed up the batter the night before last, and I'll be baking in just a few minutes.

In the recipe Dan calls tghe batter "very thick," and he's not kidding! I very nearly burned out the motor on my hand-held mixer.

If the hubby hasn't bought my Christmas present yet, maybe I'll suggest a countertop model.
