Duh: The real action is with super-hero / retro-TV-revisited screenplays.

I haven't read a novel in decades.

Current reading list is all nonfiction.
Fat, Sugar, Salt,
Memory's Ghost,
Moneyball,
And a couple books about the Gemini and Apollo programs. Real hardback books, too.

Mrs. Dr. Awesome however, vacuums up fiction at about three e-books per week. Trashy fantasy novels, mostly.

I bought paperbacks. At Elliot Bay Bookstore. And textbooks.

Got my eBooks free from SPL

I read one novel in 2013. That novel was "War and Peace." It was good. I may even read it again in the future.

@ 2, that's too bad. Good novels can be just as illuminating on nonfiction topics as works dedicated to those topics. I learned that in college from a history professor who always assigned one novel to read in his classes.

I read three novels last year, which is an astounding feat for me, since I read very, very slowly.

Browsing in bookstores is still way funner'n online. Consider turning "showrooming" on its head: if you hear about an interesting book, check it out on Amazon, then order from your local bookstore. Most indies can get it for you within a week.

Not one? Good god! You must read a lot of non-fiction instead.

I'm a voracious reader. I read at least 30 novels last year, and that was a light year for me. If I'm really obsessive and have nothing else to do, I'll read a couple of novels in a weekend.

Not enough time. Commuting on the bus I listen to Planet Money, as both PM and my bus ride are 20 minutes. Evenings I'm cooking dinner, then at the gym or working on the house. The last hour of the day is couch-potato time, browsing Reddit or watching Hulu.

Trow in the weekend trip downtown for shopping &dinner and time fixing, painting, or cleaning the house and suddenly there's no time left! I don't know how it happened but being an adult takes all my time.

@ 9, so do you read nonfiction as you stated above, or no books at all as you seem to state here? I can understand if you just simply would rather read nonfiction, but why say you don't have time for it if you do?

Please wait...
