So basically a Hard Rock Café / Planet Hollywood for the Star Trek geeks… Can’t wait to see the menu. (Wretch!)

Me, that's who. I kind of hope I never set foot in a theme bar of any kind ever again -- not even a bar-themed bar like they have up on Cap Hill.
3
What, no area covered in PIV action? Then why bother?

@3
Seems like the kind of bar where all PIV action goes to die.
5
Looking on the bright side, It'd be a fun place to throw a fetish party, I guess.

SAUSAGE FEST

@6: Yeah, I suppose you'd have to sidestep the cosplayers and Matrix trenchcoats.

Hmmm great video of the ceiling, the ceiling, more ceiling a few shaky shots of details and a woman but no actual shot of what the bar looks like inside.
Had this been done in 1980 it would have been cool, I used to be fascinated with Giger. But I am long over the Giger influence on things. You can throw in Bladerunner too. Over it!

Strikes me as really cool, if disturbing.

Empty.

Then, in my mind's eye, I fill it with people, and it loses what little appeal it had - and that's whether it has regular bar patrons in street clothes OR people "taking it seriously" and in costume.

It would be great as a movie set for a bar, or as @5 says, a fetish party. But overall?

Meh.

Yeah, I'd love to picture the people visiting as all well dressed in business finery, but I'm sure there'd be a strange mix of the Cheesecake Factory tourists and belltown brogrammers taking shots of "duck farts".
11
I'd kill for a sci-fi hotel.

@11 the doors better fucking dilate.

@12: Hey, the former Copper Gate is still charming nontheless.

Please wait...
