Sooo

Some guy, with the union extorting the airline, was being paid $21 an hour to clean airplanes or stand at a ticket booth and ignore or misdirect passengers. Now his wage is appropriate to the level of training and initiative he put out for his job and he's pissed?

Pardon me while I go off to get a hanky to wipe away the tears. Of laughter.

@ 1, I suppose if I had as myopic a worldview as you, I'd find it funny. Or as cruel a sense of humor as you've exhibited. Thank goodness I'm smart, kind, and objective.
3
Ah yes SB, more of that "compassionate conservatism" about which we've all heard so much.

And of course, the fact that airlines now upcharge you for the same services that were included in the ticket price when this man was earning a living wage is of no consequence whatsoever, right?

You are just an utterly despicable human being - no, strike that - "humanity" is not a designation anyone would associate with someone of your ilk.

@2

What was that, Mile High? You're not smart enough to realize you're objectionable
5
Can you back up the "record-low wages" claim made in the headline, please?
6
Screw Alaska. Don't fly them and let them know why.
9
@7: Factually, nope. See the decrease in wealth of the lower 80% of society over the last 50 years, as both a proportion, and simply in terms of real assets.

"Screw Alaska. "

Are you kidding? I just got 4 tickets to Orange County for under $700.

A state bill to raise the state minimum wage to $12 is filed.

Get used to $15 an hour, cause it's coming.

"I don't want to pay my employees so much I'm going to pay money to other people who will help me not pay the other people so much"

Oh capitalism, you're so amazingly stupid sometimes. It's like the anti-GMO propaganda they spent millions on. Gee, if they would have sunk half that money into the kind of propaganda that makes us want their product they probably would have been in a better place than always on the defensive.

@14, I mean.... Some might say the Earth is only 6,000 years old. That doesn't make it a real debate though. It's just some crazy shit some people say.
16
@14 Oh please, Even the Bush family knew Reaganomics was voodoo. They cashed in on it but at least H.W. publically acknowledged that it was bullshit.

Please wait...
