Years ago I had a booklet from the city that listed all the art bought via 1% for art funds.

It was great and I was slowly working my way thru it. Found the giant head of Nikola Tesla once! Then I lost the book.

The huge semi-covered parking garage out at the old Naval Base at Sand Point used to be a practice ground for what looked liked dozens of graffiti artists, probably residents of the youth housing out there. Amazing work. It was all destroyed when they built Brettler Place public housing out there. I have photos somewhere.

I guess that's my answer: show where stuff USED TO be, because that's the only good stuff.

No, wait, here's one: the sponge art created in the Battery Street Tunnel by wiping away the exhaust grime from the white tiles. I would LOVE this. Makes for great walking/touring/searching/etc. The standard free wall spots, all of Baso's work, some higher end graffiti spots that are off the beaten path.

Sculpture's cool too, why not. OH! And the poetry mailbox house around Greenwood.

I'd be up for working on it, although I'd be better on the backend than the mobile code.

At the same time, I'd be concerned about how much it's updated or used. I love our art, but this isn't NYC, LA, Paris, etc. Yet. : )

California is sort of a metaphor for the homogeneity and disempowerment that comes with the accelerating corporate globalism and centralization of govt. I wonder if ground zero is included on that NYC tour? I stand in solidarity with the norway troll.

The local company STQRY could do this as a demonstration project! They have totally cornered the market for museums & historical schtick. It would be awesome, just have artists register their own "posts"
