I feel like this would run into Supremacy Clause trouble.
2
Oh that crazy Canadian.
3
Equal protection, anyone? This is so blatantly unconstitutional that it will be invalidated by the courts before it even leaves committee.

America wasn't stuck in 2009 in 2009, even. Cruz and the other dipshits won a few elections with the help of gerrymandering but were never and will never be dominant. Though the longer they remain convinced that they were and are the better off Democrats will be. Run, Ted, run! With Palin as your veep! DOOO IT!

An apology from Canada would be appreciated.

That outreach to younger voters is going great. Let's talk as much as possible about the evil that none of them think is at all important. Go Ted Go! Paving the way for an extinct party by 2035.
7
Wasn't that basically DOMA? What makes Cruz think SCOTUS won't strike this one down too?
9
2009 was a golden era when rational shit actually got done, and it cost the Dems the House.

2010 is the stupid teabagger time Cruz is stuck in. Now the rest of us keep getting dragged into the mire with him.

They can keep re-sanctifying marriage until they're blue in the face, but it won't change reality any more than "repealing" the ACA a zillion times has.

Just get a room already you two.

Why can't he get into a car accident? So many decent people get killed on the roads, why can't fate strike this fatass bastard bigot down in his tracks?
13
The phrase "Santorum slot" conjured up a traumatic mental image.

@8 Agreed to the loud mouthed bigot. Unfortunately the voters that they appeal to are uneducated southerners who aren't any smarter than they are. The voters in the U.S.A. have to realize that the republican party has done so much damage to our country that it is going to take a long time to repair. There is so much potential to be the country that everyone respects, but with all the disagreement in our own ranks, the whole world watches what we do and when we have a split Govt. that can't function because of partisan bickering it makes us weak. The one thing that we can all do is VOTE.

Marriage shouldn't be a part of governemt at all, it should be left to the church, fuck tax codes and all the legal shit intertwined with marriage. If we did that, anyone could marry based on whatever church regocnizes it. And no one would have to fight to have benefit rights or tax rights based on marriage. And Ted Cruz is the man who will save our country, iI think he needs to just not worry about social issues and dominate the field on fiscal and economic policies as well as foreign policy. Stop hating all you liberal, progressive nut jobs.
