I would be more interested in a Seattle Bookstore Day than Record Store Day or Free Comic Book Day.

Counting cards is basically impossible in Strip casinos. They deal out of seven deck shoes and shuffle the whole shebang after they're only about 2-3 decks deep, making card counting a basically useless exercise - these measures were implemented after those MIT guys pantsed Vegas, and they ran a far more sophisticated operation than a single guy counting cards. He was removed for some other reason.

Pfff, Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai has always been and will always be Jim Jarmusch's best film.

@1

I don't like Free Comic Book day either. I do hope they continue Free Comic Day. This year I got a special edition Chris Rock, a never released George Lopez, and David Goldstein specially made to stink like Horseshit.

I don't really think that the phenomenal Only Lovers Left Alive is spoilable, but that's no reason to encourage someone to read a minute-by-minute synopsis of the screenplay before seeing it. I'd save the post for later.

Agree with @5. See the film then read the post (which I enjoyed until it jumped off a "this is a film about whiteness" cliff at the end).

Better than Stranger than Paradise? I don't think so...

Saying a better actor could've convinced them he wasn't counting cards misunderstands how Vegas works. If they THINK you're counting cards, you're out. They don't have to have a real reason. Note what they said: "you're too good at this". He was performing too well, so they kicked him.

Please wait...
