For those that support body cameras on cops, you can bet that outfit would withhold footage from those as well.

So I guess they will need anti-depressants since the public airing of the dashcams will doubtless hurt morale.

I think SPD has been really attempting to prove that they are tough city cops, like ChicagoPD, NYPD &/or LAPD. You prove you're a tough cop by cracking citizen's heads (or just, you know, shooting them), being opaque, & getting away with it.

In other, I think police should only be officers for 5 years. After that, the power dynamics of being a cop and the stress of confronting horrible situations, assholes with authority issues, & generally being shot at take their toll, mentally. After 5 years we can find them a nice, calm job elsewhere, like driving a bus, or something.
