Pretty derivative stuff. Yawn.

@JF To be fair, I have loved Against Me! for half my life. Granted, I didn't like their stuff that got too polished -- White Crosses was disappointing and they went through a "let's just rip off Springsteen" phase, which I hated -- but, yes, I fell in love with them all over again when Laura Jane Grace came out as trans because it reminded me of the fearlessness that had first drawn me into the band after hearing Reinventing Axl Rose for the first time. I cared about this band before this album, long before. I will continue to care about them now.

And I love Fat Mike, too.

@3, I agree about fearlessness. That's what rock n' roll was about. When? I can't even remember at this point. Watching Nirvana inducted into the RnR HOF, it seems like it's been 20 years. Anyway, I really only liked the first track off the last album (and I can't figure out what's going on in the video), but I appreciate embracing who you are and not giving a fuck what people say. It took some guts.

I'd vote for 'Deconstructing Axl Rose.'

Please wait...
