If following someone, anyone, on Twitter actually makes a person's life worse, maybe she should stop using Twitter altogether. That is some sorrowful shit.
6
Publicity whore gets publicity.
7
@6 do you call all women whores, or just the ones you disagree with?
8
LOL, without men Twitter wouldn't exist.
9
@7 Ha! Good catch.
12
So because Terry Jones and Rush Limbaugh are disgusting assholes, let's unfollow people like Etgar Keret and Neil DeGrasse Tyson and HH the Dalai Lama because they too are men.

WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT TWITTER ANYWAY? It's full of meretricious narcissism and not much else.
13
Fuck the Dalai Lama
14
if you never sign up, you never have to unfollow anyone.

"so why would I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?" -babs bush the elder
15
I don't follow men. That's so second century.
16
@12 I get the impression that you did not read the article. Even if all women stopped following all men, all the time, all across Twitter, those guys would do okay.

Female voices are the unregistered comments of Twitter.
17
I thought that was satire, but it did come across as quite sexist. @12, and the President. And Bill Nye. And Dan!

Oh yeah: and Chris hadfield, tweeting from space, even.
18
Hurr durr it's not sexist if WE do it xd xd follow me on tumblr I am womyn.
19
@7 wait "______ whore" is gendered?

Don't cite Buzzfeed, *spit*. It isn't a real news site and nobody should even pretend it is. It is a place where idiots think they are geniuses because their bosses allow them to write 'listicles' and publish brainfarts without any editorial discretion. Unfortunately, other media organizations are taking note of this and are Buzzfeed-ifying themselves.

Don't read Buzzfeed, *spit*, and don't link to them. Not only will it make you lose a surprising amount of intelligence, it will help to undermine the quality of news media itself.

I'm glad I skipped over most of it (including the obviously troll-bait gifs included therein) to find the trolliest image ever to troll, under the heading, "Is this just a joke? Is this a troll?" I feel like I got all that this particular post on Buzzfeed was intended to produce: a chuckle.

That said, I completely agree with delirian @20.

Man, normally i would be annoyed at this kind of thing, since the auteurs behind it tend to come off as self-important pricks. But the White History Month really saved the day for me!

Basically, this seems to me like an act of bigotry. There has been a trend of moving away from social awareness and toward bigotry against men, straight people, cis-gendered people, etc... in the world of those who wear whatever lack of privilege they have like a badge of honor.

Judging someone for their sex, race, sexual preference or anything else like that is bigotry. Let's just call it what it is.

That being said, this is pretty impotent and obnoxious bigotry.

Please wait...

and remember to be decent to everyone
all of the time.
