The only people happier to see Durkan leave than the local anarchist community are her own AUSAs....
2
Martin Durkan is a US Senator like Dominic Holden is a journalist.
3
Wasn't she the one responsible for keeping those protestors locked up in solitary confinement? If so, good riddance. She'll fit in perfectly with a statist like Hillary. Fuck both of them.
4
Her father Martin Durkan was not a US senator. If I remember right, he was an Imperial Senator, back when Palpatine was just Supreme Chancellor.
5
And thus leaving SPD effectively unreformed. Amazing. Rename them to Teflon PD.
6
Actually, I'm being too nice about Jenny Durkan. She imprisoned people in solitary confinement so that she could collect political profiles of activists. She is a fucking monster. She should be in prison.
7
@2, 4) Indeed, Martin Durkan was a state senator, not a US senator. I knew that but was typing in haste. It's fixed now. Thank you.
8
Hillary is fairly inevitable as Pres which is actually comforting seeing as she's obviously moving to the right. The civilized world needs a conservative in the WH more than ever. Your feckless, impotent homey never had the stones for the job.
9
The douchebag, Durkan, is the DOJ attorney who acquitted Kerry Killinger from all criminal charges. It will be fitting to have this douchebag go work for a bigger douchebag, Hillary.

GOOD RIDDANCE.
10
LOL...."kick the butts of rotten organized crime rings" just like she showed WaMu, eh Holden? Jesus. She couldn't kick the butts of organized crime if you held them still and in front of her. She made sure that Kerry Killinger story came out on a Friday and that the story was only three sentences long in the Times. What a fucking bunch of bullshit this Stranger story is. Who's now paying your bill? The fucking Democrat party? Jesus.
11
Attorney General under Hillary.
12
@11 if so, it's fascinating how many people seem to come up and out of Seattle to high level Federal positions.
13
@12, and to such little effect, at least recently. Kerlikowske a big disappointment as drug czar, Gary Locke a humdrum Commerce Secretary...who am I forgetting?

Durkan also prosecuted a scandalous entrapment case against a mentally disabled Muslim man. The informant, Robert Joe Childs, is a convicted rapist and sex offender. Childs and his SPD handler, Samuel DeJesus, deleted hundreds of their text messages, violating the judge's orders. Childs tried to infiltrate local anarchists, who were the people to finally expose the rapist. Childs just resurfaced in Florida, where he's awaiting trial for fraud and failing to register as a sex offender. Durkan defended using Childs by saying, “It’s not the saints who can bring us the sinners.” More here: http://seattlefreepress.org/2014/08/29/r…
15
Oh yeah, and the FBI only paid Childs $90,000 for the police work.
16
Oh dear, where does Steve Miletich of the Seattle Times go to now for his great inside scoops? Or will his wife remain as press info for the new attorney?
17
"Cyber-" means "computery" and is thus an indication that someone is either insufficiently familiar with the subject matter to write something more meaningful or too focused on hype to care.
18
Fraud is fraud, whether computer networks are involved or not. In the context of federal prosecution, application of the "cyber" label suggests that one is skilled at selective enforcement and political persecution.

Aaron Swartz was cyberprosecuted with 13 cyberfelonies for cybercopying publicly funded cyberjournals, while Jamie Dimon and other banksters walk free after tanking the economy with their cybermortgage cybercrime.

what kind of attorney formally finds 20% of 1200 use of force cases are illegal force and then:

-does not tell a single victim.
-prevents victims from getting the expert report finding this.
-does not fire or seek firing or discipline of SINGLE officer
-states the entire command structure rubber stamped uses of force, ie totally failed in its job of supervision, then lets them all cop a plea in which their "penalty" is new training, and getting more money for data systems?

she didn't bust the SPD gang of thugs. She enabled them to stay in business. Now they boldly hire a lawyer showing complete contempt for rule of law! and none is disciplined for that either -- they act like they own the cops, not us!

bottom line the local leaders and the doj used this cop situation to garner laurel leaves for a reform, but where the spd officially denies the problem exists, doesn't punish a single officer, there is NO REFORM.

read the paper today, our city attorney says it was okey dokey to taser a pregnant lady three times because she didn't want to sign a ticket. this is our official policy -- you can use whatever force you like, and YOU WILL NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Please wait...

and remember to be decent to everyone
all of the time.
