King county wasn't named after MLK. That was a very recent, meaningless, feel-good change, and is immaterial to both the history of the county and this story.

Look, I don't really have a dog in this fight, and I completely recognize how terrible the police/prison/industrial complex is, especially for minority groups.
One side shows this building in absolute disrepair and shows a number of different initiatives over several years that has reduced the youth jail population over the short and the long terms. The other side responds with LOL CHARTZ it's really hard to take those opposed to this project seriously.
Why would a fast-growing county reduce the number of electoral districts? (perhaps watering down the vote is the main purpose? --- http://www.fairvote.org ).
