I'm assuming credits under the old accounts will carry over when a customer signs into a new rental agreement?
2
@1: Doesn't sound like it.
3
Sad to hear of On 15th. I worked there 15 years ago.
4
@1: I believe any outstanding credits under the old accounts had to be used by October 8. Same goes with unused gift certificates, returning/exchanging DVDs and other merch, etc.
5
@4: Oh really? That sucks. Did they communicate that somehow?!

Nevermind, I found the blog entry about it:

https://www.scarecrow.com/40/9813/an-imp…

"Prepaid Punches, store credits, and gift certificates will no longer be valid after October 8th, 2014. Please use those up before then in order to avoid losing them. Please note - No remaining balances or credits will be paid out as cash."

Guess I lost out by not visiting their blog last month. There's money down the drain.

How come the Stranger seems to think that Scarecrow is the only video store in Seattle? Rain City Video in Ballard was always better, you could actually talk to the people that worked there.

Scarecrow Video is the best thing in Seattle. It's really a treasure and incredible resource that all Seattlites, especially film lovers, should appreciate is located in their community.

I lost a few bucks in the transition because I was asleep at the wheel. So what? I value what Scarecrow has to offer and its continued existence more than that $25.00 Hell, I've spilled more money than that on the floors of several bars.

Here's wishing Scarecrow all the best with its new non-profit status. I hope its around to serve Seattle for a long time to come.

I remember when Scarecrow was on Latona, next to the pub. Do you guys remember that?

Please wait...
