I didn't recognise him when I saw his ugly face on TV. He's got really old. Obama may have a few more grey hairs than he had 15 years ago, but Giuliani looks like some evil geriatric wizard. Same as Dick Cheney. All that hatred inside is really ageing.
2
no, he wasn't brought up like you: he wasn't born on 3rd base thinking he hit a home run, and he's not a xenophobic, bible-addled hick.

that's why he's better than you are, stupid conservatives.
3
Remember when Rudy won Time's Person of the Year solely because he happened to be in charge when 9/11 happened, and Time was too scared to give it to anyone else?
4
As regards the issue of so-called "race" and the White House, I always defer to George Clinton, the first President of the United States of America who was never President of the United States of America.
5
Who is the kookier attention whore? Giuliani or Donald Trump?
8
The guy is an asshole. Period. And so are you, SeattleBlues. Whether it was racist or not, it was obscene to say our twice elected president doesn't love his country. You really defending that??
9
7-Seattleblues,
I've thrown over a hundred insults at Paulie, and he never responds. A couple times I played a playful Jewish Card. Call him Rabbi Constant and he may rip his testicles open and bite back by calling you "creepy." I've referred to Savage as Priest before, I could call Mudede a Minister, even Jen Graves could pass for the Art History Nun on old PBS shows. None of them bat much of an eyelash. But darn that Jewish Card, and Paulie can cull an emotional rarity..

Harold Giuliani had trouble holding a job and had been convicted of felony assault and robbery and served time in Sing Sing; after his release he served as an enforcer for his brother-in-law Leo D'Avanzo, who ran an organized crime operation involved in loan sharking and gambling at a restaurant in Brooklyn.

Neither I nor the President was brought up this way.
11
@7: he wasn't raised by his father, in case that memo escaped you.

he was raised by his (yes, leftist and unconventional) mother, his grandmother, and his furniture salesman grandfather.

why the fuck does the president have to LOVE Guiliani, or any of us, in the 1st place? he's not America's dad; he's our COO.
12
if @7 and @9 entered into a suicide pact... that would be the best day ever.
13
Well, Seattleblues has claimed to have children I hear, but I don't recall every having seen any statement that he loves his children. I don't see any reason to think that Seattleblues does love his children.
14
@12: Yeah, but the former proves the rule of "only the good die young" and the latter would never keep up his end of the bargain. After all, he didn't even keep his word when he said he'd leave Slog.
16
@11
That could be the problem.
We got a COO when we need a CEO.
17
Wow. When did SLOG turn in to reddit? I was psyched by the headline, but only to discover the article has ZERO FUCKING CONTENT. What was the point of this post?
19
I'm sad because I can't find any traces of whatever ridiculous bullshit Seattleblues said in the source documents for these pages, and it's too recent an article to have Google cached versions. No wait, I'm HAPPY that I'm not being subjected to that supercilious imbecile's bizarre ravings. Not sad, HAPPY!
Those gosh darned emotions are so weird, it's so easy to get them mixed up. Maybe I need some new feels drivers.
20
@18: AW SWEET, A REPOST! Now I can be happysad!
Okay, Seattleblues, it's pretty obvious from the responses to your original post that it had a little bit more in it than your subsequent post. So don't try to pretend you didn't say something you did.
Also, if we want to know about reality, you're not the guy to go to. Remember, you think that opinions are more important than evidence, because your opinions are obviously true in your opinion, and all numbers or evidence that disagrees with them is clearly lying! How do you know that those data are made up by lying researchers? Simple! They disagree with your opinions, so they must be lying!

Also, are you up for that bet you proposed? US$500.00 roody-poo, put up or shut up.
21
It was inappropriate, flawed, and politically stupid for Giuliani to say this. Nevertheless, Obama's aloof, rather condescending tone toward America and wanting to "fundamentally transform it" (as he said days before the 2008 election) brews the kind of sentiment.
24
Don't feed the trolls, i.e.seattleblues
25
@23: Mixed drinks are always better than Kool-Aid.
@22: That doesn't prove anything. It was an inherently malleable statement, as the president was saying it, as he was called upon it, and as it has been spun ever since. Like Giuliani, it's not the kind of words a smart politician should ever say,
26
@25: Don't use quotation marks when attributing a quote to someone unless it's a direct quotation. Eat a dick.
27
Does anyone remember him dressed up in drag? He was rather horrific, looked quite like that woman on the Munsters, can't remember her name. Quite scary.
28
@25 Er. Kool-Aid is a mixed drink. Kool-Aid powder + 1 cup of sugar + 1 quart of water mix and pour over ice.

Oh as for the rest of your comment. New reality being a Super Power ain't what it use to be. Besides who really wants Empire United States? Damned expensive and vulgar if you ask me.
29
@4 The first President of the United States that was never President of the United States was Benjamin Franklin.

_Then_ it was George Clinton.

Arguing that Guliani's words weren't racist is like defending Hitler by pointing out that he wasn't really German. I mean, sure, okay, he was Austrian. So the fuck what? I mean, listen to his defense here:

“Some people thought it was racist — I thought that was a joke, since he was brought up by a white mother, a white grandfather, went to white schools, and most of this he learned from white people,” Mr. Giuliani said in the interview. “This isn’t racism. This is socialism or possibly anti-colonialism.”

A clusterfuck of stupid. Since he was raised by white folks, that makes it socialism? So every teabagger is a socialist, I guess. Or maybe it's because he's black and raised by white folks, that makes him an anti-colonialist. Or something. This guy is a three-time divorced shitbag that comes from a crime family, so what if he is or isn't a bigot? I mean, he probably is, pretty much every bigot is as dumb as he is, but even if he's not, he's still a cheese, sauce, and dough away from a pizza slice.
30
Rudy Giuliani is just another media whore not unlike Sarah Palin, Terry Jones (the Koran burner) or the inbred (Fred) Phelps clan.
32
news flash: regardless of if Giuliani thinks that being raised by white people means Obama's not "black", Giuliani is still evinced to be a racist through his comments: he fundamentally views people through a racial lens. Before all other things, he sees race (and sex, probably), before proceeding towards the "content of his character".
33
The Rudy went on to say “with all our flaws we’re the most exceptional country in the world. I’m looking for a presidential candidate who can express that, do that and carry it out.” To me, that's the more offensive comment. American Exceptionalism is about the most destructive mindset on the planet, responsible for uncountable deaths and ruined lives via the military adventurism it is used to justify. To hear somebody in 2015 shamelessly promoting that mindset is quite distressing.

The Rudy is right - Obama doesn't love America the same way that he does. Neither do other thinking people. Nationalism is a disease. Thankfully our current national leader isn't infected with it. God help us and our neighbors if the next one is.
35
@33
"To hear somebody in 2015 shamelessly promoting that mindset is quite distressing."

I hear people shamelessly promoting all sorts of shitty mindsets.Yes, it's distressing. Very distressing. To the point where I come off as an asshole at times.......Now, back to your regularly scheduled program of Sex Flavored Advice, Celebrity (i.e. Giuliani) Analysis, and Funny Horoscopes which will numb the last vestige of your mind into obliteration.
36
SB, you lied about having a black wife, didn't you?
37
@34: Ever heard of a 'dog whistle'?
Also, I'm still waiting to hear if you're going to follow up on that bet you offered me. US$500.00, Seattleblues, are you in? Put up or shut up.
38
Jesus u guys are fucking dumb. By giulianis metric rand Paul and Ted Cruz are far more "anti-American" than Obama. Paul is about to announce his front-runner candidacy and Giuliani HATES that. He's breaking the ice for the take down of no-bullshit secessionists who think we brought 911 on ourselves. now I'm wondering if u retards have completely missed the whole snowden as secret weapon angle as well. I guarantee that Giuliani and his ilk would rather have 50 yrs of clintons in office than 5 min of the Paul's.
39
In a related side-note, today is the 50th anniversary of Malcolm X's assassination. I'm not a fan of martyrdom, but the likes of Malcolm X and Jesus provide integrity-filled examples for how I can fight for my right to party. What's a guy to do? There's certainly no role-models in today's media or politics.

Please wait...
