Fugazi: You dont still like them, do you?
Fugazi: You don't still like them, do you? Andy Perseponko

On Friday night, while waiting for the Flamin' Groovies to play, a friend asked everyone at my table a heavy question: "Are there any bands you loved when you were younger but can't stand to hear now?" WHOA! I still have, and listen to, most of the records I've owned since I started buying records, so I wanna THINK everything I liked when I was younger, I still like today—except for my grown-up acquired distaste for everyone's fave: Fugazi. Still, the question got me thinking, "Have I been complacent when revisiting my past? Am I nostalgic for crap? Is this the kickoff to a midlife crisis? DO I NEED GLASSES?" Anyway, while I was being all Mr. Stymied-pants, my tablemates, all a decade younger than me—'90s kids—offered up Sunny Day Real Estate, Sonic Youth, Soul Asylum, and, of course, (ahem) the Smashing Pumpkins as examples of bands who now sound like "NOPE. Not now." So, Slog Out, I wanna know—what are the bands/artists you once loved but can't listen to now?! Bon Jovi? LL Cool J? Operation Ivy? Abba? Bell Biv Devoe? RUSH?
