that dude in a bikini is Don Bolles...drummer for Ariel Pink and he used to drum in bands way back when called 45 Grave, Vox Pop and the Germs. So you may be old but just not that aware.

Kelly, I covered the festival for the Denver Post and had some of the same reflections as you... and EXACTLY the same experience with Kim Gordon, who I was super excited to meet and tell how much her book meant to me. She just stared back, expressionless (kind of graceless too, which is weird.) J. Mascis did the same to my 14 year old daughter. Ha! The old rockers have forgotten how to be human....
