Why regurgitate into subsequent posts material that is already covered two posts ago in the morning news?
2
Glad to see we're all focusing on symbolic gestures instead of changes that would significantly reduce carbon emissions or otherwise mitigate or prepare for the effects of climate change.
3
@2) Yeah, because you simply CANNOT make symbolic gestures to draw attention and awareness to a problem. NOBODY ever did that successfully!

We owe it to future generations to invest now in this safe, reliable, and virtually unlimited source of clean energy," said Congressman Charlie Dent (R-PA), Co-Chair of the House Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus.

@2) And by the way, what have YOU done today to forward these 'changes' and 'mitigations' of which you claim knowledge - presumably knowledge that this protesting woman is not privy to? Oh wait, we all remember: you spouted whiny, half-wit, one-dimensional platitudes on a blog! Mommy is surely proud of the jesus she raised to help us all.

PS - You'd have done MUCH better if you had tied YOUR ass to a pole this morning.

What's the point of the tripod? Why doesn't someone just tip it over? Done and done.
8
@1 Why post anything at all yourself if you're only going to be a snotty fogey-pants and negative-Nancy about everything, you cutout.

When are you due to give birth to Ken Mehlman's love-child again? Next week? Or is it next month? Or is paternity confused because of that ill-advised drunken three-way with SeattleBlues?
9
@7 - Dumb and dumb, is more like it in your case. Tripods prevent removal, because intentionally injuring someone up top --besides being morally questionable; which is apparently something you don't have the empathy to understand-- is also illegal.
10
@8: I guess then you don't miss the old Slog, when there were fresh articles throughout the day that didn't just piggy back on one another.
11
@2 There is finite time and energy for everything, and if all you do is spend it on the symbolic, you have nothing left for anything that will have a real effect. And do you honestly believe that the real problem here in Seattle is that no one is aware of climate change and how it's going to fuck people over?

You might as well tell me that wearing pink in the fall "raises awareness" for breast cancer, but when you look at the numbers, there hasn't been any measurable improvement in health outcomes for women.

Also, why are you so fucking angry all the time? I understand you'll never respond to a post in a reasonable, fair-minded manner, but I don't think it's worth a heart attack. Calm down!

Yeah, stick it to those evil corporations! (in nike shoes using an iphone driving a subaru wearing a black diamond harness)

@12 Good point. I doubt Ms. Lukins would survive long as an artist activist without the infrastructure of industrial society to support her.
14
@12 and the poles came from MONSANTO. can you believe the HYPOCRISY?

if she'd spun the cloth and sewed her clothes you'd applaud her then, right?

@5: Top five reasons why the hydrogen economy will not pan out:
1. HYDROGEN IS NOT A FUEL SUPPLY
2. HIBRODEN IS NOP A FEUL SPPLUY
3. HARGOBLEM LD NIY E VULL ZUBLY
4. MIDROHEM SI WOB DA FEWL ESPLAY
5. GYDROHEM NIZ TON A FWELL PUSPLY
