"Yes, there's a way to create jobs without oil rigs." I dont like a carbon belching economy but I'm not dumb enough to think there's an real economy outside production of real goods. Luxury and service economies can only exist as long as production of things of real value continue to supply the world.

Did the Mayor say how he was going to build a Hydrogen Economy and to replace the unused charging stations with hydrogen pumps, or how he will bring Hyundai Tuscon FCVs and Toyota Mirai FCVs to Seattle, or how he and Jay Inslee will follow the laws of Washington State and make sure that fuel cells are installed in all new government buildings, or will he ...............

That's one ugly rig. Can't they send it to Tacoma?

Breaking news from crack journalist, Mr. Christopher Frizelle! Empty headed but ideologically left of Marx politician says ignorant thing!! See the boring photos as proof of... something!

So, Frizelle, a real journalist might have asked the odd question and analyzed the content. For instance, is creating and showing movies carbon neutral, Frizelle? Where do you think the oil to do so will come from?

See, a journalist isn't just the PR rep of a politician you happen to like. You'd know that if you had even a glimmering of the aptitude necessary for the job. I'd go bavk to something you're good at. Like.... Wow. Well, best of luck.

Actually Frizelle, I've figured out a job even YOU have the mental capacity for. You could becone the mayor of the People's Republic of Seattle. No brain or native ability of any kind required- perfect for you.

Whoah. Having flashbacks to the 1957 sci-fi movie, "Kronos."

Saw it as a kid as the afternoon matinee movie on local television. Scared the crap out of me.
So does the idea that private companies are "liberating" Earth's sequestered carbon deposits. At the time those carbon deposits began to form, the planet's atmosphere was only supportive of anaerobic life, with crushing weights of carbon dioxide and very little oxygen. The fact that carbon is in the ground, instead of the air, and we have a breathable atmosphere and temperate (more or less) weather system is directly related.

All those boats at the Shilshole marina that seem never to leave port, need to rise to the occasion and sail there. And give tourists the tour of their lives, the tour that shows them the reason, the hard-copy reason, their planet will go down. One quarter of the world's fossil fuels are supposedly in the Arctic - according to a KUOW reporter yesterday - so this will determine everything. If the oil comes up, the planet goes down. It will take twenty years for it to be usable, according to Shell, so this will be in all the children's lifetimes when their own peak family life is 'lived'. What a gift to the children. Hope you get lots of birthday parties while you are young, and then we will have one big present for you…your very own world-wide catastrophic future. Shelled out for you. Thank you, Port Commissioners. Your children will love you extra much.
