big whoop. it happens when it happens.

@1, Exactly how I feel about bike-related improvements on the Ballard Bridge.

I'm confused about your never-ending bitch fest on this topic, Stranger. Would you rather them rush the repair job so that the machine breaks down again or would you rather them fix it correctly so it has a higher chance of succeeding? Why does two weeks behind schedule matter when we're already 2 years behind schedule? I mean, if you completely oppose the tunnel plan outright (not just Bertha) go ahead and write about that instead of endlessly bitching about an obviously full-hearted effort to get this thing moving again.

Was continuing Hwy. 99 transit during reconstruction a pro-tunnel selling point? I didn't support the tunnel, though it is helpful for my work obligations that '99' traffic continues to flow. Hwy. 99 detours for a year . . . or years . . . that would've been inconvenient for me.

Once you travel down Boondoggle Road there is no coming back.
Just endless payments for Cost Overruns made to the Little Seen Man.

(Sorry, I've been listening to Dylan)

I just as soon move to New York and write my Bertha comments based on internet info.

Does this mean the north portal area (where the tunnel is spozed to spew out and merge w/Aurora) will continue to be a constricted clusterfuck until 2018 as well?
8
@7: well beyond 2018, I'd wager.

Anyone who thinks there aren't more unexpected problems (read: delays) to come is fooling themselves.

Pit e full.

@7 - It will be a CF until several years after they realize they aren't going to finish the tunnel and design and build something else.

Maybe we should just hire the Egyptians to do it. They just build a 20+ mile expansion to the Suez Canal—start to finish—in less than a year!

Yay American exceptionalism!!!
