Just in from the Seattle Education Association:
The SEA Representative Assembly has voted to [suspend] the Seattle Public Schools strike & to recommend ratification of the tentative contract agreement. Details will be emailed to SEA members. General membership and ratification meeting Sunday. Wednesday is a workday for all district employees: certs, paras and SAEOPS. #âSPSstrike
We still don't have full details about the tentative agreement union members will vote on this weekend, but KIRO, KING 5, and KPLU are reporting that the agreement contains a three percent raise for educators in the first year of the contract, a two percent raise the second year, and a 4.5 percent raise the third. The last public offer from the school district included a two percent raise the first year, a 3.2 percent raise the second year, and a four percent raise the third.
