Artist Jack Daws Wins the Betty Bowen Award

Today, the art of Seattle's Jack Daws (most recent work) is declared officially "original, exceptional, and compelling" by the Betty Bowen Award committee, which annually gives a Northwest artist $15,000 in unrestricted funds.
Two artists also win $2,500 each in Special Recognition Awards, and this year those are Eirik Johnson of Seattle (one of my favorite of his photographs) and Lou Watson of Portland.
