I love this picture. It's going to be used to illustrate the upcoming definition of "mansplaining" in the OED.
2
Ah, yes…the Outsider Candidate himself
3
Let's hope this election makes a statement against anti-Southern Europeanism.
4
or something.
5
I'm trying to remember the last time I heard the word "leftist" deployed without a gratuitous "radical" tacked on to the front of it.

Yet more excuses for the landlord to raise the rent. Huzzah.
8
Just remember, on election night in Nov 2013, Sawant was behind Conlin 46.1% to 53.5% . Banks at 47.1% is not out.

so how badly are these "tax increase" repeals gonna fuck up the already fucked up state budget?

FUCK TIM EYMAN.
10
@8

Maybe it's not too late for you to request a recount on that one.
11
@9, Cue the state legislators "we can't get education properly funded because.. Tim Eyman's 2/3rds rule that the voters just passed, again"...

then it will be struck down by the courts and the same state legislators will pass Eyman's thing as a law with like 90% of the legi-critters voting "yay".
12
@8: you really are that dumb, aren't you?

Right fact, wrong lesson. Over and over again the trend is that late voters are younger and more progressive. So what cite actually favored Sawant last time, it pretty much dooms Banks.
13
what *you* cite

The voter turnout is weirdly low when you consider that King County says that about 80% percent of the population of each Seattle District is registered to vote. One wonders why people register if they don't vote or if the voter rolls are accurate. As it is, it means as many Seattle voters did not vote as did. Hardly and mandate for any candidate or cause.
15
Didn't Juarez crash her car and blow a .18? Classy.
16
@9: Good news! They won't! They don't do anything!

Also, I voted against Eyman's thing, because you made me feel guilty, even though a big part of me wanted to just throw that wrench into the works as hard as I could... and now it's passing anyways... I can't decide whether to feel upset or impishly gleeful.

Hopefully we can lean on our lege to not put the amendment to the people, and then demand they pass an income tax. This Eyman petition may end up as his biggest defeat, in victory!

Let's hope Debora Juarez gets a ride how this time, less another DUI show up on her record. Shameful that The Stranger endorsed this woman.

SECB is so invested in Herbold that they can't even bring themselves to put Braddock on top in the results reporting, despite doing so in all other races. Although credit is given for doing so in the Johnson/Maddux race, where I'm sure you are equally shocked at your inability to sway an election.

@19

Thanks. Also, can you post the current NFC wildcard standings?
21
@20:

Only if the Stranger puts the Seahawks at the top of the list at the expense of another team they don't like.
