Rod is a great councilmember. I hope he's around for as long a time as possible.

Dembowski gets results because he spends the time and effort necessary to get the facts, develop a strategy, build a coalition and persuade his colleagues. Half of them are Republicans, and he gets more done in six months than Sawant gets done in two years. He wants to see concrete change. Rallies of adoration don't interest him much. Next governor, or the one after that, for sure.

It's not perverse. It's timely, and essential. Paris is what happens in world with a weak US foreign policy. Now the architect of that policy wants to be president. What's perverse is that she still can't admit that the Obama administration underestimated the threat from ISIS (you know, that JV team that they think they have "contained").
